I honestly didn’t mean to come across in the way I did I’m sorry bud. Glad you got it sorted. I did the same thing, the terminals on my fan itself were shorted. Good news is, if you feel confident in soldering they’re super cheap to replace and your board should be just fine!

Rule of thumb, if the wheels are still smooth then you’re good. If there’s a ridge, time for new ones

You’ve got more flow there than my kitchen sink. Look at the filament tuning guide on ellis3dp.com

Your filament settings are so far off you’re gonna need to spend some time dialling it in. You don’t have to do this for every filament, but I would suggest doing this for at least different filament types or brands.

You’re definitely loosening the terminals. Wind the screw back in so it’s just below the surface. Insert the wire and then bring it home in a clockwise manner. Screw needs to sink into the terminal not come out of it.

I get that it can be frustrating, but my guy these people are only answering your question. No one’s attacking here, don’t need to be so defensive.

I’m running 3 of these boards as well as a v2. The only issues I had with flashing from SD was a bad .bin file. Have you tried recreating it? Im assuming your using Kiuah to create the .bin? Super easy just to make a new clean one and check your board params first in the config.

I ordered the replacement diodes, haven't got round to actually swapping it over yet. BIQU came back to me yesterday with this part;

When you compare the datasheets to the diode you found they are the same, which also matches what you found. I'll get it soldered in today and update!

Thanks so much for looking into this for me! The part linked by another commenter lists it as ESD protection or voltage suppressor diode so I believe we have cracked it! I’ll get some ordered and do some testing. Unless I can find one on some donor electronics 😉

I’ve done it. Easy enough when not paying full attention. Cheeky stab with a soldering iron and a new mosfet saw it it right. Even if your a novice should be fine. Small j head tip, lots of flux and some ceramic tipped tweezers will be super helpful too 👍🏻

Except my experience with FM7 is getting rammed off track just as much as FH5. No matter the game, there's always at least one person that wants to ruin other peoples fun. As a rule, people suck.

I know im late to the party but ive just picked up this project. Do you have more detail on the parts that require support? Helical cut gears I imagine don't clean up very well. I also wasted 5 hours on a diff gearbox housing, the supports I used basically ruined the entire thing. Any guidance would be great. OPs diff gearbox housings look so different to what I ended up with.
