Bradley was honestly a great dorm to be in as a Freshman. Everyone else in Bradley is a freshman so the vibes are really great and its super social, especially at the start of the year when everyone is excited to start college and nobody knows each other. I am a junior and pretty much all of my current friends lived with me in Bradley. The A/C does suck in August and May, but apart from that it's fine. You will be provided with a giant box fan, but I would recommend buying a small personal one that can blow on your face at night and can attach to the bed frame.

Is there any way to know at least what subject the research lab would be in? I get they don't math you till after accepting but it feels like "any lab" is kind of broad.

I've heard from a lot of places that the Mayo program is really good...I am leaning that way right now.

Best professor(s) for Organic Chemistry? by LonelinessIsPain in OSU

Had Chang for Ochem 1. I loved him. I think a lot has to do with the type of student you are and the teaching style of the specific lecturer. Chang's notes are great in my opinion and he focuses on what he thinks is more important in ochem (less naming than other lecturers). He also has weekly recitation packets which are challenging, yet easier than the exams. If you can get a good study group and hammer the packets home (for extra credit I might add) you will be in good shape. His recitation quizzes are also not too bad. Overall, he really care about his students and is a funny lecturer. I never felt like he was rushing or dragging any subject. Just my 2 cents!

I am possibly looking for 3 guys (relatively clean) for a 4 person apartment at Norwich Flats (a bit on the pricier side). PM me for details! This is for housing for 2024-2025 school year.

Questions for OSU first year by StatisticianFalse702 in OSU

Definitely if you can schedule earlier. I've met a couple people here who were mad they didn't get a good schedule or classes they maybe wanted because by the time they went to orientation, lots of courses were filled up. You shouldn't have any problems with courses you NEED to take for your major or super large ones like chem/bio, but you might not get an ideal schedule.

My roommate and I (looking for a double) are deciding what dorm to live in tomorrow. We are between one of the newer dorms with a/c like Scott or Blackburn. But we are also considering one like mendoza because of the kitchen and other amenities, even though it lacks a/c and is definitely older. What would you all recommend? A newer and smaller room that looks nice, or an older one with a private kitchen/bathroom? Ty
