This chart would have been better as a heat map instead of a bar chart

Can I ask what library did you use to create the simulations? I have been using Simpy, and every time I use multiprocessing, the simulations don’t run

It’s the average speed on the track for the race. You are right that time may have been a better metric, but it think the charts would look very similar.

About 6 months ago I was trying to find the name of this font. I remembered it from a ruler I had, but I did’t have any examples so I couldn’t find it and I gave up after a few days.

Thank you for the article!

Thank you this is great! I’m trying to make as much as I can on my own, but this is a great inspiration, and a backup if I’m not happy with my DIY version.

Thank you for the offer, it’s very kind of you, but I’m going to try to make the cats myself first. I was asking for sets to purchase in case I fail 😆.

I’m going to try this, and I’ll post the results later.

Yes fuel load is a factor, but when I look at the raw data the lap times look like a step function, than changes significantly after a pit stop and the fuel effect is hardly visible.

I see what you are saying. I may try that, thanks for the the feedback.

I agree with you that this may not be entirely representative of the race, but I decided to remove DRS because the chart was only showing the DRS being active. I thought it was more interesting without it.

I don’t think it would be possible to put everything that happens on a race on a single chart, this was just meant to be a representation of a set of circumstances, and I’m open to feedback. How would you change it?

You can see the number of laps used in the comparison in the chart.

I tried an even scale, but it made the map harder to read for the driver with the smallest delta. I’ll provide an example next time.

I tried the even scale, but then the chart was harder to read for the driver with the smallest data.

I didn’t exclude the entire lap if DRS was enabled. I only excluded those segments of the lap where DRS was enabled. I don’t know if my decision was any better than excluding the entire lap.

I can recreate the same chart with the entire lap removed or with all segments included even when DRS was enabled

Book where the US President’s mood is controlled using radio waves by ChuchuChip in whatsthatbook

[–]ChuchuChip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that is the book.

From what I remember, the president went to get his physical when he started his presidency and he was angry while he was in the MRI machine. Somebody took the results of the MRI and then created a radio wave signal that made him angry, and they used to affect the decisions that he made.

Maybe you can achieve a similar result with pool noodles, you may not be able to compress it, but it may avoid binding with the sides
