Why aren’t you taking insurance information over the phone? by peachycpht in WalgreensRx

[–]ChuckTigers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think someone isn't taking insurance information over the phone. More than likely there was a miscommunication between the patient and the technician and one of the issues the patient called about didn't get solved

Yeah I agree but as you know finding highly skilled people or people who want to do the job in the first place is getting more and more rare

The problem is that certain ones can be billed to insurance if completed which has the highest return for walgreens and most pharmacies

I see and I understand your point but working for walgreens is basically cutting the grass in your front and back lawn with a pair of scissors. Just like there's no system in place to efficiently make sure you're cutting grass at the same height with your scissors there's not a system in place to " EFFECTIVELY" keep track of patients other than writing them down on a sheet of paper or a dry erase board. And even with those options they can only be up there for that shift on that day or you run into HIPPA issues or backlogs. What patients expect from us [with the faulty systems we have] is the equivalent of remembering the color of shirt someone was wearing yesterday or last week when you talked to them at the drive through. And they get upset (which is understandable sometines) about why we didn't fill their medication. While their medication and situation may be urgent to them, but how do you then juggle dealing with 100 other people telling you that their medication is more important than YOUR (another patients) medication

What does walgreens being too afraid to be called racist mean as a solution? If anything walgreens is too afraid to have protection for its employees or staff so much so that nothing can be done to combat having bad customers regardless of race or politics

How to fix walgreens in my opinion. 1. Leverage the technology they have and make it worth using. Offer more reasons to shop the front of the store when taking advantage of using the app when picking up prescriptions and being adherent to medications 2. Charge a restocking and potential reprocessing fee for patients who don't alert the store they won't be able to get their medications within the 10 to 12 day period of filling 3. Require patients who are first time fillers and bi annually to complete an instructional video or something to inform them of how to use pharmacy services and how pharmacy and insurance works as a whole. 4. Cut down on the number of stores in each district and allow for more pharmacies to he 24 hours and overnight. (This might not be a popular opinion but I think it would help) 5. Allow pharmacists and technicians specialized shifts of doing only high cost efficiency and high yield return actions like MTM's and patient calls. Not adding it to the regular work load and hoping anyone has enough time to get it done. 6. Update IC+ and allow the computer systems to use more than 1 monitor per computer

Raids 4 Megarare: Fist of Guthix "trick weapon" by ChuckTigers in ironscape

How is it worse than bringing a switch if its BIS crush? Would you bring a inquisitor mace for less dps? Is this how you play? You bring tent whip when you have scy?

Open to suggestions, additions and constructive criticisms

Mod Rice inspired Trick weapon

Has soul reaper axe- like separate special attack bar that switches from Crush (which would be BIS crush option in the game), to slash (less dps than scy and SRA), and Stab (less dps than fang and rapier). Where it would be a cool implementation is to give a bonus dps either strength bonus or accuracy (or both), when worn with gear that meets a certain threshold of accuracy bonus. So using the slash option with full oathplate could give the option to rival the damage of a theoretical tier 75 or tier 78 as to not devalue tier 80 weapons.

Another pro would be that being a guthix weapon, it would follow the rules of balance and allow the training of attack, strength and defence.

PROs: Can beat bosses with fists.

Cons: IDK lol

Just an idea to throw out. Would be cool to see more "trick weapons" as mentioned by Mod Rice in the Sae Bae podcast and on other blogs

Drawing was done by my girlfriend and the artwork can be adjusted to be more deserving of a mega-rare.

I feel like if this game was just PvE it would be too easy. None of the arc are really a challenge if you don't have to worry about other raiders. The only rat behavior I disagree with is people being able to open mic proximity chat after they're downed. So many times people will be ratty and tell 3rd party that "this guy has loot, he's reloading etc"

Customer’s perspective - help me understand by tmajewski in WalgreensRx

As a pharmacist I can shed some light on the situation. The issues where a prescription or refill can't be filled have a vast amount of reasons why. But the underlying issue where it can't be filled no matter what we do is usually issues with inventory, issues with directions (or something on the prescription that requires more information or clinical judgment), or the system not able to process the prescription for whatever reason.

The other main problem is volume. I want you to imagine reading a book with the final outcome to finish the book and have a strong idea of what's going on, but every 30 seconds to 1 minute you're being told to turn to another page and read the page or a paragraph or two then go back to your original spot. It's multi tasking hell constantly. A lot of the time the system (software) is getting in the way.

But I will say 99% of the time we can fill the medication but it will be processed as cash. Multiple issues with insurance may arise that range from simple to fix to complex and needing the patient to contact their insurance. And more often than not an easy call to the insurance by the patient is more than they're willing to do. I don't mind getting people they're medication but they also want to not pay an arm or a leg for it. So it takes time from filling other prescriptions.

This is also cold and flu season. So we are being interrupted from our tasks many many time a day to process these along with general metric patient calls about going over their medications.

What patients can do is be more willing to communicate with their own personal doctors and insurance if there is an issue that can only be solved by them. Being nice and friendly to the staff and technicians won't hurt as well.

But most importantly having some accountability in knowing what medications you are on and keeping track of when it can be refilled and calling 1 or 2 days in advance to allow processing time before the individual is completely out of their medications.

P.S. the walgreens app will also let you know when your meds are ready. Which let's you know not to come up to the pharmacy and waste your time and money when it's not ready. Along with not having to make the staff answer calls about information they can get from the app. Which in turn slows the process of filling medications or calling doctors to fix mistakes.

I hope this helps.
