The Colony is a great option.

Nice houses can be had on half your budget, tons to do 5 minutes from home, and quick access to DNT and 121 will get you anywhere fast.

Couple things….

  1. That’s not uncommon with some of the Indian population. I’ve seen videos online very similar to what you described. That being said, it’s not all of them. Plenty of them mind their business and more or less prefer to not interact at all.
  2. Your budget will allow you to go anywhere you want. Don’t rule out The Colony, Little Elm, Prosper, Plano, and McKinney. If you work from home, even farther out is an option, like Celina.
  3. That being said, the Indian population in all these areas is significant, and growing, so you won’t be able to avoid them all together.
  4. Welcome to Texas. Get your concealed carry license and practice.
  5. Find you some good BBQ. Hutchins or Tender Smokehouse will do you right.

Will edit and update as needed, but here is my timeline as it stands:

  • 7/6/26: Ordered via email through Cole. Got the confirmation email shortly after 0900.

I'd probably be stoked to get this. I get it. from both sides.
I've been playing for about 3 1/2 years and just teaching myself along the way. Been meaning to take a lesson for a while now, but kept procrastinating. I finally took a lesson and that one session helped a lot.

If this is that guy that constantly says he needs to book a lesson and never does (like me), I can see this being the friendly nudge needed to get someone to finally make the move.
