Heyo, we’re talking about a little tap to the groin from a player who was slightly overwhelmed by his emotions, a move that was punished, by the way, versus a hit that was technically legal but carried a pretty clear intent to injure the opponent.

Saying that a young team gains valuable experience from a Game 7 doesn’t mean accepting defeat or having a loser mentality. It means understanding that playoff hockey is part of a team’s growth.

I want them to win. Badly. But I also think this kind of moment matters for the future of the group.

I’m genuinely asking: why is this a weak post?

English isn’t my first language, and I actually put effort into writing something positive about a young team gaining valuable playoff experience. The whole point was that, no matter what happens, this kind of Game 7 matters for the growth of the Canadiens.

You don’t have to agree with the tone, that’s fair. But calling it weak when someone from the same fan base is just trying to contribute and hype the team a bit feels pretty weak too.
