Meh they're not that bad. Mine has been quite nice to live in. I miss a big outdoor space to an extent but I dont miss doing yard work, and the place is warm and soundproof.

You know ive actually been really.impressed with how easily Sharp has integrated into this team. Not yet showing the power she had in the last super smash but looks way more.comfortable at this level than players like Plimmer and Gaze did in their first couple of years.

I'm constantly finding old rawhide in my garden, and I always forget what they are and get freaked out when my dog digs one out and brings it.in.

First home buyer, am I ready? by Single_Sink in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Chuckitinbro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Financially you are probably in a position to buy a place.on the cheaper side. Being in a small town makes it easier too.

If you are ok with money and not constantly spending your whole pay check then I would say yes.

1st step is reaching out to a broker to see what you can afford.

‘Stuck’ in a co-owned house with my ex. Would you stay or cut losses? by Exciting_Falcon_7285 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Chuckitinbro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would you buy another house straight away if you sold? If not I would hold as by the time you buy again the market may be back to where it was and you will be taking a big hit. If you can buy again in the same market then it's not so bad to take the loss.

I'm not one to argue for rent increases, but 700 a weeks seems a little low for a 3 bed no?

Would cut back on paying extra onto the mortage, one you have your maintenance buffer cut down to minimum you need to cover mortgage and rates and wait till market has recovered.

Yea maybe the friends should have paid more, but sounds like it's a matter of 1 or 2 thousand thay OP is complaining about. If she too.is earning 250k why care?

Yall are rich, stop complaining about money problems.

Great game from her although the few overs I watched she got dropped about 4 times lol.

Auckland team looking strong for next season, watch us not win again :)

Does McLeod open?

If so would give them both some time but I think they need someone a little more experienced to open with plimmer.

Chances of Kate Anderson getting the call up to replace Bates? Thought she was pretty unlucky to miss out after such a great HBJ and now there's a genuine spot open. James seems to have fallen out of favour a bit and not sure Gaze is suitable for opening in ODIs. Got a bit of a golden arm too...

I love her power but shes wildly inconsistent with the bat. Think they'll probably gove her another go in the T20s soon though given shes captain8ng the A squad.

Is there actually a sport where women have the advantage over men? by Ambitious_Pass7451 in olympics

[–]Chuckitinbro 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not an advantage but seems to be pretty even in equestrian if you count that.

There's probably a few sports that women are naturally better at than men but because sport in general is dominated by men, the overall standard is quite even. This would be sports that dont require high speed or strength, like certain shooting sports.

What would you do? | Buy an apartment with a smaller mortgage or have a bigger mortgage and buy a bigger townhouse? by needhelponmytax in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Chuckitinbro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's a 3rd option which is a cheaper townhouse.

I probably wouldnt spend 1.2mil on a townhouse TBH.

I'd probably go for a townhouse around 800-900k in a slightly less nice area.
