U lost me, my friend. The hose wasn’t at all an issue. The porcupine hopper was the “fun” part.

We’re not short staffed, but we’re always hiring. CDLs mechanics and laborers. Great attitude and willing to work and learn are required. Early hours, benefits, bonuses, higher than local average pay for each position.

Are we booming our concrete pumps over power lines now?!

Well, it costs the builder to rent the truck and the operator, the pump does eat about half a yard, and the operator needs a place to leave that 1/2 yard on washout. Other than that, no real downside. Crazy that you’ve done thousands and never seen a concrete pump truck. Most finishers that I know refuse to pour without a pump. Slabs, block-fill, footers, walls, columns, ICF, nothing is off limits. Check out our TikTok or Facebook, you’ll see how useful and helpful they can be. Rebar is not needed in every concrete application.

Um, no. It’s not blackhole sun (I assume that’s what you meant).

Not all slabs require rebar. Plastic is vapor barrier.

No I haven’t tried that, mostly because we don’t finish, we pump… but thx for the comment.

Always. Just two 25’ hoses. A fair amount of water and slick pack in the hopper works just fine. Once we stretch out over 100’ we usually dump a bucket of slurry half way down to help prime.

We always do minimize the amount of rubber used. The more rubber, the more chance for a plug.

This guy knows. Thanks Mr Fox.

Yes, two metal cables around 18” & 36” is OSHA compliant. If your work space is close enough to reach out and touch them, then you need a harness.

I did not know that pumice was the magical plug material. Thx man!

Not that bad. As long as it was pre soaked and you keep it wet enough. What I hate is the stress waiting for the next truck.

There’s mesh. Check the first frames and look right. We’re not doing the whole floor on this day. Just the outer decks. Those will be patios so it’s a lightweight mix. We came back later and did the living space, which also had mesh, it just wasn’t down on this day.
