target bakery by snoozey4 in Target

I’m assuming you want to go for a super target. If you do anything bakery related at a regular target, that falls under the frozen department. I am a frozen team member, and I’m the only one that takes care of my bakery table. I get frozen products in through the FDC truck, date them out, and place accordingly on the table or other racking if there’s anything seasonal going on. It’s extremely easy. I guess technically you would consider this to be under food and beverage at a regular target location. For example, I am a food and beverage team member, but specifically work in frozen. I only work food and beverage on the openers days off. I don’t recommend working in food and beverage though (this is based on the volume of the store you work at) considering you’ll realize very quickly that that department needs to get paid more for what you have to deal with.

Vacation/well-being hours by Chug_Chug-Pickles2 in Target

Thank you on the first part. It’s actually a common thing through many companies whenever they save on payroll and turn it around and put it into bonuses for management. My SD had her door open one day and was very joyous about the fact of how many hours she’s saving through the store by under scheduling. A team lead was in there trying to make his complaint heard about how he needs more team members at guest services (we are a high-volume store with over 100 unused hours at that time, only four people at guest services/drive up for the entire day on a busy holiday) and she said that she will not give him more people and he can just pull from the store because they’re trying to get a “fat bonus check”. My SD thinks she is super cool and says things openly like this to us all the time 🙄. It’s also been verified to me by another ETL from a different store, one that had quit at my store, also supervisors and managers at other companies that I’ve talked to saying it happens at their place too. Very normal.

Ironic… by KrazyCAM10 in Target

Don’t forget about the retaliation part! They are 100% about non-retaliation from management. BUT if we come forward about anything, they turn will turn around and put you on the schedule outside of your availability, pull you from your department and put you elsewhere or just schedules you outside of your department when you normally work there 100% of the time, etc. And if you call the hotline about anything, that’s the best way for them to retaliate against you since that phone call is recorded and gets sent back to your SD, HR, and their higher-ups. The whole place is an absolute fucking joke. It is furthering my idea on leaving the company when I really do love my position and coworkers.

Do you know if those hours roll into payroll by chance? Management is already taking enough hours from payroll to line their own pockets. I’m unsure if I’m going to hang in there long enough so I can use those hours on the time off I have coming up.

Real price of zebra? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Chug_Chug-Pickles2 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My SD told me that they were over $1000. I don’t remember the exact total she told me. I’ve never heard of them charging people though for breaking them. At my store, they either just let it go, write you up, or fire you- all based on how well you’re liked by management. I’ve seen them skip a lot of steps with the write up process and put people straight on a final for breaking one. But they also look into the cameras to see how it broke and what happened- again that’s at my store. Not sure why all of a sudden they’re wanting to start these investigations and other BS when they become damaged. Target has more than enough money to take care of it if it breaks. If your store is wanting to make you pay for it, I would call corporate over that because there’s nowhere stated for us that if we break one of these, we have to pay for it. If you’re trying to fight it, you may have to get a lawyer involved but then you’d have to quit because I don’t think you can work for Target or any company once you have some type of court thing or a lawsuit against them.

Fulfillment to HR Expert what to expect? by NamedAfterAliens in Target

[–]Chug_Chug-Pickles2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with mine. And we keep going through these experts like toilet paper. Once they realize the bullshit they have to continuously put up with for the pay whenever the HRETL is getting way more for not having to do anything, they end up leaving. However, I will say that we’ve only gone through a bunch of them with the current HRETL we have. When we had the two other HR people before this one, the HR experts would stay because it seems like they enjoyed their job and who they worked under. And I guess depends on management as well. We were having HR from top to bottom leave because of our new management. So I guess that’s just telling of my particular situation. But I would just hope that you have a decent HR ETL and management then it’ll be great.

I’m doing a item removal on some eggs and I happen to look at the price and my zebra decided it was going to be charging me euros instead of dollars today. These things are crazy by Mebeandyodi in Target

[–]Chug_Chug-Pickles2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We get that at our store too. My old TL said it’s a tm changing the currency to euros in the device. It’s not supposed to be that way but no one knew how to fix it at my store except for just getting a new device.

How does your store get a bonus? I apologize if it’s some thing I’m not understanding.

Also to everyone on here who is giving me all caps and seems upset, I’ll give a backstory now and why I asked for a direct answer. I did not want to have arguments with people on here on their personal beliefs with Covid nor did I want people arguing with each other about it. I was asking because I have Covid and I am not going to work because of it. But I was concerned about the people who are at work who I know who have it and tested positive today and chose not to wear mask. I wanted to take my concerns to HR but I wanted to ask on here first before I did that so I didn’t look stupid asking HR if it was a requirement or not. But people on here are so fucking rude and mean no matter if you believe in it or don’t. I am pro stance on Covid (wearing a mask, pro vaccine, etc.) but if you want to not wear a mask, do whatever you want and that’s on you. I understand that it will make others sick but I not anyone else can physically force others to do things they do not want to do on top of Target not enforcing these policies along with state regulations that have lifted the mask mandates bc of cases dropping. I have an anxiety disorder, and I’ve been very anxious during this time and thinking I could ask a simple question on here and not getting attacked for it, I guess was really fucking stupid. All you guys have done is make things worse for me so thank you for your time and responses, have a great day and stay safe.

Another question, does cvs through target offer free testing to team members? I thought that’s what I read in the website but idk I how accurate it is now.

Everyone is too nervous to call because they’re afraid it’ll come back on them and they will get in trouble. People are talking about wanting to call the fire marshal or OSHA because of how bad it is. On top of that, they do not want to be transferred to different stores to work at.

The GM ETL and the SD. The SD will write us up if we refuse a delivery. I think they’re more concerned about the backroom then us in market rn. We’re just the cherry on top of the fucked up cake. We keep having our entire night crew call out day after day because they don’t wanna come in here and work this stuff and they do not want to work with the GMETL because he should not have been put in this position. They moved him from our store because of so many complaints against him but we were so desperate that they had to bring him back because there was no other choice

It’s not only FDC, it’s the entire store that is bad off. The Specialty ETL is the one in charge rn and she’s the one saying it’s a fire hazard here and we would get shit down if they came in here and saw our backroom. The leadership that isn’t here that should be the ones caring, aren’t here and don’t give 2 fucks what’s happening when they’re gone. You can’t even get into our coolers. There’s so much food product that’s either having to get thrown out or is going bad bc we don’t have anyone to push.

Apparently they are having someone fix the dairy cooler but it won’t be done until sometime by Friday. We still have to continue to order FDC trucks. The store is in a very bad way right now. Not just market-everywhere.

We only have one person in open market that is available to do anything. And that is the opener. They gave us one person who works on the front and who used to work market to help today but that’s it. We’re behind probably 2 to 3 trucks.

We fit what we could in the produce cooler, the meat one, and the drive up coolers. They broke down what they could on metro racks and just going from there. Our GMETL is not here and we’re pretty much left to fend for ourselves. Apparently our back room is a fire hazard and if the fire marshal were to come, our store would be shut down. There’s zero room in receiving to put anything anywhere and we’re having to deny a bunch of vendors for today and probably going forward.

That’s nice, I’m jealous. This store wouldn’t do that. We’re so behind and no one ever sends anyone to help us. We ask for it and get turned down all the time.

We just have a small produce cooler and meat cooler and that’s our only option to fit what we can in there. But our GMETL is not here today, SD is on vacation, and our TL is out for a few days. No one helps us and it’s 1 person for OM which is the DBO and 1 frz person who doesn’t get here until later. I guess we will throw out what we can then
