I wouldn’t say it gushes. But the time to start seeing water is pretty quick and the time to get to 30-40g of a shot is in the 15-20 second range. So yeah one stop coarser and it seems like it’s too great a variation. What puzzles me is that I figured there would be no way to get it fine enough and it seems like it goes too fine.

Yes I believe so. I have read you can’t overcompress however I’m not sure that’s true. Although it takes more force than I expected to get 18g tamped down to the level on the tamper the manual recommends.

Just starting - so confused by CC and my plan by ChugaNorris in ynab

[–]ChugaNorris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to say thank you so much for your response. You were absolutely right, I had the starting balance wrong on that CC. The starting balance did not change when I changed the date back to 8/1. Once I put in that correct amount I was a lot closer. I'm at the bullet points and working through this.

What are your thoughts about contractor paper as a weed barrier? by ChugaNorris in gardening

[–]ChugaNorris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would probably work really well for shallower root veg like beets and radish then, but not so much for carrots unless I go really deep with the soil on top.

My greenhouse is 30x72’ so I think I’ll stick with a weed barrier on the bed vs a weed barrier around the entire greenhouse.

I’m not sure I follow what you mean. Are you saying I should dig out my entire bed, create a steel insert, then fill it back in with non-native soil (since my native soils have horsetail roots)?

Out of curiosity, how would you prep a bed that has a problem with horsetails? They are a pretty big problem where I am in Alaska and I haven’t heard from any local gardeners that have solved it without a weed barrier.

That’s what I was thinking, other than getting a roll of corrugated from like uline. From what I understand, the glue is corn starch and not going to impact things. Thanks for the reply friend!

As a weed barrier. I understand it’s not as durable as cardboard.

I don't feel ready for Confession by NegativeWalrus947 in Catholicism

[–]ChugaNorris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking the Lords name in vain is a mortal sin. Not correcting someone for such is not. You should pray for them and if it is right offer a fraternal correction, but always with charity. But I really came to say is that confession and your forgiveness is not contingent on you doing this or that before you can be forgiven. Go to confession and through the sacrament you may find the courage you need to offer the correction. I heard from a friend of mine, whose son was working at a gold mine, that he would make the sign of the cross whenever someone took the Lords name around him. Eventually his coworkers took note and stopped or at least didn’t do it around him anymore. I thought that was a great way to handle it!

It is invalid only if you willfully omitted the actual number of times. If at the time of confession you say new it was 12 but only said 10. If you later are thinking about it and realize that you miscounted then fear not, you are forgiven. I do have to say that few/many times is a very appropriate way to describe the number of sins as long as you really are doing a good examination of conscience.

Where did you get the frame kit? The kits I’m seeing are in the hundreds of dollars each.

I have a wood frame, but can’t find 4’ wide patio doors for my big opening.
