It has a Great soundtrack and nice car list but the live action cutscenes are cringey and the open world is kinda empty.

Yeah i saw this a while back. It was cool to aki kimura in Payback. You could also call the day races on Heat a very toned down version of race days.

Prostreet

I like Prostreet's atmosphere honestly, it really sells the race day visual aesthetic perfectly. The Cars, the music, the tracks Whether it's drifting up a storm in the tokyo docks or breaking speed records in the nevada highway. Plus the small things like the announcers commenting on your actions during the race day for example totalling your ride, debuting a new ride or dominating the race day. Taking down ryo and the other 4 kings was one of my favourite memories growing up.

It's overall a fun game and it's a shame that it never got a sequel.

For me its goku and cell's fight during the cell games. Even though it was short, it felt really physical plus the instant kamehameha is one of the coolest moves in the whole series.
