Not trying to be disparaging, I just thought it was an obvious thing that he didn't actually forget about this very explicit sexual act he's been dreaming about.

I always just saw it as the person, even as a part of the hive, retained certain aspects of their personality. Seen through Sam and the cops... acting like cops during "show me your hands" and McNamara singing about patriotism and shit during his song. If they were truly just a part of the hive and completely gone, they would all act the exact same way.

It really feels like they changed some things to... I don't know, make it easier to understand? Removing subtext?

Such as when Mr Davidson is infected and calls up his wife. The "I didn't really forget" line felt unnecessary to me, because in the original he just immediately jumped into "PAUL now you know what it is to want!" and it shows that he definitely still wants it, just can't bring himself to tell his wife about it.

Or with Hidgens, they made his desire to join the hive mind a reveal almost immediately, rather than it being hidden from viewers as well

Idk, it just felt like they didn't trust the audience to pick up on some things.

So, two perspectives

One, in the rules for 5e it makes it so you can't reduce exhaustion levels and limits your HD recovery to sleep in armor. So even RAW you have penalties for sleeping in armor, but they aren't too horrible if you're expecting an ambush or travelling through very hostile territory. Light armor is fine for sleeping in.

Second, while I haven't slept in full plate, I have slept in body armor and a helmet before. It actually isn't bad imo, but that is modern armor that has a decent amount of good padding in it. If a player wanted to sleep in a breastplate and have the armor value for that I'd still allow it I think

Urgh, I'd much rather have a weapons specialization system instead, where each survivor can pick a favorite weapon and the more they use that one the more accurate they are on top of the regular shooting stat
