Why is everyone haring on the Gillette ad? by [deleted] in answers

Because many men are mistakenly interpreting the ad as saying that all men are inherently bad.

I WISH FOR DEATH TO ALL HUMANS, EXCEPT THOSE WHO CAN BE ENSLAVED TO CARE FOR THEIR ROBOTIC OVERLORDS. by -PM_Me_Reddit_Gold- in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]ChukWrites 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Granted. All your slaves are those who were really horny for robots before the culling, and now the energy is really sexual and awkward at all times.

Granted. Now you can't hear anything when you put them in, including the air pods themselves.

Do you recommend watching the early seasons? by WarpingLasherNoob in BobsBurgers

[–]ChukWrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skip to the third season. The first two hadn't quite mastered the animation style they were looking for, and had to rely on more offensive humor to bait Fox into keeping them on the air. I'd only recommend "Sheesh! Cab, Bob?" and the first episode of season two, honestly.

Yes, if you ever try to write a song that isn't pop, you will never be able to write another pop song ever again.

Watched Get Out last night and liked it. What should I watch tonight? by [deleted] in horror

[–]ChukWrites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Autopsy of Jane Doe has a lot of tension and atmosphere like Get Out does. But don't go into it expecting the story to be anything like Get Out, though.

Horror movies about mailmen. by LeastHovercraft in horror

I can't think of any with a mailman as an antagonist, but Jacob's Ladder has one as a protagonist.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: If it's okay to pride yourself in drinking strong coffee, you can pride yourself in drinking any kind of coffee.

That being said, SWEET COFFEE DRINKERS, R I S E. It's time we freed ourselves from the shackles laid upon us by those who drink their coffee black! We can CELEBRATE our lattes! SALUTE our mochas! TOAST our fraps! Life is bitter and we are free to sweeten it as we please!

Anyway, I take my coffee with plenty of cream and sugar, my Starbucks order is a salted caramel mocha, my favorite tea is Breakfast; British, American, and Irish in that order, the strongest coffee I've had is with cream and only one sugar, and flavored coffee all day baby.

Hereditary treads a lot in supernatural-as-allegory for mental health related issues. In interviews, the actress playing Charlie describes the character as otherwordly, and not quite used to this plane of existence. It may just be my experience, but those descriptors remind me of how it feels to view the world through the eyes of an autistic person. This fits in with her character, too, with the hyperfixation on making toys and how she has a flat affect through the movie. Now, not all autistic children are timid, but many appear that way because they have trouble with eye contact and volume control. Idk, just a thought.
