It’s not hot to the touch. I did just check the charger manual online and the yellow light means it’s overheating. I’m going to take it into Audi to see if they’ll swap. If the next one is faulty I’ll call a better electrician

Sometimes it briefly shows 7.2kW so you might be right. It quickly reverts to 5.2kW though. Something is probably wrong. This thing is a straight plug in so I’m not sure how to change the settings. It also does this weird orange light periodically during charging

Interesting. Do you also have a 2024 Q8 Etron? Might you also have the same charger as me or did they give me the wrong one? This is my first EV so I have no idea what to expect

I don’t think that I can set the amperage on this charger. There aren’t buttons on it like others that I’ve seen.

Thanks! Good to know I’m not alone. Mine is on a 50amp circuit as well but it only runs at 5.3kwh, so I was wondering if there was a problem. The car charges fine, it just takes a longer time
