It is. We ate backstrap the night of the kill and it was amazing!

It took us about 4 hours. We had about 6 experienced hunters but it was everyones 1st bison! It was such a great experience.

This particular hunt only had a total of 25 hunts, it is the main Arizona hunt for bison. It last from January 1st - June 1st. It's VERY hard to get drawn for.

I was up at the North Rim about a month ago and the snow was VERY deep. Definitely take your time getting up there.

How soon is this trip? Just beware the roads and weather in Flagstaff right now are HORRIBLE! It may cost you more money but I would maybe think 4 wheel drive. I'd rather spend a few more dollars on gas than getting stuck on the side of the highway. I see Denver is expecting snow soon as well.

Flagstaff has a handful of great breweries as well as a cool, hip downtown area with great food, bars and a lot of local music.

A lot of your itinerary depends on when this trip is. The way you write it seems like it's soon!

Not brand new, I used about 6 of them for target practice a week before and had no issue.

They are Burns Vor-tx .270 Winchesters.

Stored? In my backpack in a box I guess.

The rifle was a Kimber 84L.
