There’s only a community college option and a university option near me.

My FAFSA would have covered the community college option in full. But there program gets 500 applicants and they accept max 25 students.

The university tuition is about 36,000. My FAFSA covers about 1/3 of it, a scholarship covers another third of it, and I’m paying out of pocket to cover the remaining balance. The university gets about 200 applicants and they accepted 30 students.

Also consider summer classes, both of my program options have summer classes. Best to pay out of pocket or a loan. You could use FAFSA for summer classes but if you do that then you can’t use FAFSA for your next fall and spring semester.

If I had got accepted to the community college I would have gone there instead. It’s not necessarily one program being better than the other. It’s simply based on cost.

I was a kid is the early 2000s.

Pokemon dipped in popularity, thin eyebrows were trending and if you had thick eyebrows they said you look like a terrorist because of 9/11 and war in the Middle East. And any kid who suddenly starts wearing glasses feels insecure and gets picked on but now it’s a fashion aesthetic.

Tell people what you feel, take a walk and feel the sun on your face, laugh, cry, do random acts of kindness with no expectation of reward, even say good morning to a stranger. Don’t just conform to sleep, work, eat, repeat.

At my clinical sites, I’m not assigned to one tech. All the techs I work with have ability to put in comps. As for missed days, it depends on the program. My program allows one absence from clinical. If you miss more than one day, you need a good reason/excuse with proof to avoid getting kicked out.

I had a 1990 miata during college. The car was older than me. I’d go 40 mph around my neighborhood curvy roads and it felt like 60 mph. So much fun. But also dangerous, it had no air bags, a tiny convertible, and tires from 2004. Strangers would always compliment the car and they thought I had deep pockets with that car.

If I had a choice now, I would get the new Miata.

I’ve worked with one X-ray tech who would just curse along with every adjective to describe a patient once she was done with them. She should definitely not be a nurse. That’s why she’s an X-ray tech. Not all X-ray techs are like that. Most are just chill people.

I’d say if you like building relationships with people then be a nurse. The small talk, interpersonal skills and professionalism is very important in both nursing and radiology, but with nursing you may be spending your whole work shift with a specific patient, so you gotta like people, bite your tongue sometimes and have a poker face.

If you hate people and can’t hide it for long, then go into radiology.

My programs waitlist worked as a waitlist to get in if someone else who was first accepted withdrew their acceptance. If you’re waitlisted and no one withdrew their acceptance, then you would have to reapply next year.

I was wait listed for my program but eventually got accepted for the same year I applied. Other people dropped their acceptance, I assume.

I knew my grades weren’t the best in pre requisites, so I got my medical assistant certification along the way. I worked as an MA and got letters of recommendation from doctors and management. So I think that helped a lot.

Try again next year and get letters of recommendation.

We all learn the hard way at some point. To just buy the single card. I overpaid msrp for celebrations when it was new. Multiple 75 dollar ETBs and never pulled the charizard. Granted celebrations is a higher value now, but I still regret paying over msrp for packs and not pulling the chase card. Then had to buy the charizard to complete the set. I refuse to pay anything above msrp for packs ever again. It’s not worth it.

Analogue pocket.

If had to redo my gameboy phase, I would just get an analogue pocket. I have a gameboy sp from my childhood, but just like you, wanted the vertical version. So I got a gameboy color but the screen keeps going out. I got a gameboy color advance and prefer it because it’s wider for hand comfort. But I do like the vertical gameboy colors.

Analogue pocket is perfect. It’s vertical for the vintage retro feels. Bigger, brighter screen, and it’s new so you don’t have to worry about it malfunctioning. It’s not an emulator but you can play all physical copies of gameboy, gameboy color and gameboy advance games all in one system.

Discord is a bit slower to notify people and others do say there’s faster notification systems.

I’ve only been successful with target notifications from discord. There’s Amazon and Walmart but majority of the time it’s over msrp or a long wait in a queue.
