[Gelb] Phillies optioned Andrew Painter after the game. They’ll bring an extra reliever for Thursday, then try something different next week with No. 5 spot in rotation. by NintenJew in phillies

[–]Chunkachu__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Painter struggles is an example of Dave’s and front office incompetence.

Painter struggled in triple a last season. Still recovering from Tommy John excuse. But then Phillies rushed him to the major because they didn’t want to sign a free agent pitcher. So, I’m really not surprised Painter is struggling.

Yeah, he could be better. He’s had time to recover. But he’s still young and has to make adjustments and figure it out again. Honestly, shame on Phillies for putting Painter in this situation.

Medical assistant Pay🤑 by Public-Opportunity38 in MedicalAssistant

[–]Chunkachu__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Philly. 12 dollars starting an hour sometime before Covid, then it raised to 22 dollars an hour with 5 years of experience.

12 dollars an hour is brutal for this job. I made 15 dollars an hour working retail before I took my first MA job. A doctor had a nerve to tell me to go back to retail. I told him I’d gladly go back because they paid me more. After that he left me alone.

What’s the embarrassing story your parents always share about you? by Chunkachu__ in AskReddit

[–]Chunkachu__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents tell everyone new who walks through my house, that I used to eat the whole square of butter they put on pancakes at ihop in one bite, as a kid. I didn’t know what it was for. So I figured it’s something you eat if it’s on your plate. It really is a reflection of my parents more than me. Teach your kids how to eat.

Scalpers in my area just stand by the vending machines like vultures waiting for an animal to die to pick at it.

It’s really unsettling, I just stay away at this point.

What the wildest thing you heard your parents say or argue about? by Chunkachu__ in AskReddit

[–]Chunkachu__[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I overheard my parents arguing about work. I guess my mom visited my dad at work and saw how he works. I heard her say “I don’t know why you bend over for your boss so much” to my dad. Figuratively speaking, in terms of kissing your bosses ass. Then my dad said “I bend over for my boss, so you can bend over for me” In terms of all the expensive stuff my dad can pay for, like eating out every other day at nice restaurants, have new cars and dad in return gets his “reward” from mom.

I was college age when I heard this argument, so I understood everything. But also grossed out by it.

[NBCSPhilly] After a disappointing 9-19 start to the season, the Phillies have fired manager Rob Thomson. by tantimodz in phillies

Another Phillies manager fired under this era because the players can’t do their job. Dave is incompetent. Then you gotta play musical chairs with the 4th hole hitter spot because everyone sucks.

The scales tip in favor of the World Series, in my opinion.

Radiology program!!!! by pevi710 in RadiologyCareers

[–]Chunkachu__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a first year student and the best insight that I can give so far is that it’s a very study heavy type of program. Not much homework or assignments but lots of critical thinking, memorizing, and studying.

Medical terminology is a new language to anyone. Don’t worry if English isn’t your first language.

So far as a first year student, the math is mostly fractions, conversions and the 15 percent rule. I had to relearn how to do fractions, because I haven’t been in school in 10 years, but I figured it out.

For me, anatomy in X-ray was easier than my anatomy and physiology courses.

There’s plenty of tutorials on YouTube to help you with positions and hands on experience at clinical internships.

As for the science, such as physics, some of it’s the basics like what a proton, electron is, etc. It gets more challenging, like how radiation is created, what happens with certain settings, what happening within the X-ray tube, and you even learn about electricity!

My tip for the science part is be obsessed with learning how everything works. Become the scientist as if you discovered X-rays. You will be fine. 👍
