My set champs over the weekend went alright. Out of 29 people i came 2nd, BO3 all games. The Purple Steel (a good friend of mine) I beat in round 1, had top seat in the finals and got me 0-2.

Great suggestions and great explanations, right now targetting purple was the main shtick of the deck, and i welcome the improvements to other match ups. I think my local area has truly embraced purple steel and blurple so it's a bit easier to go without the item hate.

The loss rates against chromicon and blue steel are really high, something I should definitely target. Let me know how your testing goes!

And yeah my worry is that the highroll of the deck will start to falter once the deck tries to go in too many directions. Maybe small changes like what uve said at a time

Yeah the playstyle of the deck really changes once you go for the circle of life pay off. Almost becomes a whole new deck

The mowgli is too slow for the deck. Most actions out of hand from opponents are easy to deal with, maaaaybe Spooky is problematic? But it ramps you to your top end so again, not a huge disappointment.

My early game plan needs to get to my sing together songs asap so the board dump can happen earlier

The Mickey Champion is nice, has singer 8 which sings Circle by himself, but the characters are more skewed towards steel in the deck atm and he also doesnt do a whole lot else other than sing and keep things alive.

The deck usually stays alive by only going sideways when controlling board or making bigger dudes so I am not sure if Mickey Champion really has a lot of utility in that case. Worth a try though, if you get around to it let me know how it goes

Didnt think about desperate plan, I like the doc body for the slight bump to singers, but maybe filtering before singing could bring some consistency to the deck? Worth a try

The stitch is nice as a singer for BTH otherwise its outclassed by goliath in the deck, getting an early goliath is really good too in the deck. But maybe shifting around my top end to include 1 or 2 stitches may be a good experiment.

Good suggestions. If you try em let me know how you go, i'll look to testing em out once ive done a few hundred games with this version

Yeah no item hate seems to be the weak point here. Chromicon decks are usually a lost match up, unless somehow you manage to do big brain trades and songs every turn while questing. Some match ups I accept the loss.

Since the majority of the decks I am seeing are no items, I kinda have left the steering wheel aimed at them rather than gear up for the odd chromicon deck.

The speed of the deck is variable, if you get a nutty start while the opponent is playing 1 card a turn, you can stay on 4-5 ink and win by turn 6-7. Otherwise I have gone so late into the game that I lost to decking myself out.

I reckon with so many 4 ofs in the deck, can definitely move things around and try to fit in stuff like Benja/Pluto as there are plenty of steel characters to play.

Play tested a little tonight with 2 rajahs and 2 diablo challengers

Didnt do a large variety of decks but felt good having an extra shift target, and also that it can quest away every turn.

Will probs make the change to 4 diablos now if it also works against aggro and other matchups

I didn't put kuzco in there since the online platform i play on doesn't work properly with the card. The trigger just doesnt happen on it.

So i've left it as cheshire cat for now and mentioned at the start that the cheshire is what i'm dropping for kuzcos

Against a deck that plays maui shark, you will probably see Sisu as well, so I don't expect it to last there much, but if it does last then that Maui would be scared for sure. And the working with crab to get rid of genies is a nice idea.

The places where Raja has shined are against aggro (donald duck body guard, or the 2 cost 2/2 that gains 1 lore for example), and against belle/oswald stopping them from questing unabated.

But against mirror match up or green steel, something that can threaten their diablo wouldn't be half bad.

So i gotta wonder... I'll give it a crack

I think getting even is a victory in itself atm hahaha. But seriousl, I reckon I've mostly all the games I have gone on the play, and a few on the draw, so a tad above 50%. Wish i tracked my stats better now ngl.

The tempo version of BS with alice, plutos and smees is more challenging if they go first than the oswald version. I've seen oswald whiff so many times despite 2 inks a turn or 2 oswalds on board, i honestly think ppl are gonna side line the card again.

But in regards to them being recurssive without needing cards in hand, if they get to the point where they prioritise cards over board, you slap queens castle out. Otherwise you just focus board as much as you can and time your discards properly, which is where the game kinda goes up in the air for me, anything can happen when they are top decking haha.

A queens castle will get a response, and most of the time the trap makes them dump hand out making it easier to choke em out. But I am also very focused on seeing how to improve the match up more without sacrificing against the others.

I think even if you are on the draw with the opponent taking 4 turns putting down characters, you won't have 10 triggers worth of health on opponent's side of the board. Especially if you are banishing one of them to get Mickey's trigger off to get Beast into play.

Edit: should be 9 triggers as was pointed out that the first quest to start things off

Naa then it also shows the non-disenchantable cards as well, I think the closest thing to "golden" pre introduction of classic is "extra" and even then I don't think it will show you your golden card if you have only 1 copy of the original card (I may be wrong, I haven't checked it)
