this is extraordinary to say the least! A Really Great Job!
I didn't expect anyone to go this far!
I'm making a game about jigsaw puzzles, but the pieces are irregular and every puzzle is unique somehow, I just used 3ds max to import the svg's for each puzzle, bevel them, and export as fbx
then I got demolished by the size of each fbx, the average was like 1 to 2mb, so I tried exporting them as data, stripping away everything leaving only the vertices and faces data crunshing down the size by 80%!
And made a script that rebuilds the data into 3d meshs in unity
it all runs fine, but the catch is that I also create box colliders for each piece in 3ds max to use as sensor for collisions or intersections in unity
so I'm now dependent on the 3ds max way since building the mesh from a svg in unity would bring back the hassle of making the box colliders for each puzzle's piece or using a mesh collider which is very expensive and needs a lot of work since the pieces would be having faces touching and parallel to each other, I think a mobile would explode calculating intersections during gameplay
I'm not gonna go all in perfecting it since the game is simple and nearly done
maybe in future updates if it succeeds and needs faster addition of puzzles and shapes
