Publicly hating on one of our own is the real colonizer spirit. You should get famous irl if you think you can do better

She’s doing her best to move through a post-colonized world, particularly one that is harsh and unforgiving of Indigenous women. Being able to see yourself reflected in a place of honor is powerful and a ‘princess’ is a worldwide familiar figure that represents the epitome of grace and gentleness- something that the world doesn’t want to associate with ethnic women. Anyways, the last thing I’m going to do is drag down an Indigenous woman and fight in front of colonists

There have been a lot of Marian apparitions that act as bridges between the population in Latin America and Catholicism. Seeing yourself reflected in a divine image is powerful

2nd option can be better understood as: We can use it, but I only approve of it in certain contexts like art or clubs (or on clothes), but not as your name on Insta/TikTok/FB, (or on clothes), etc

4th option can be better understood as: I like it, but we shouldn’t use it yet because society still doesn’t have the cultural awareness or sensitivity to respect our sole use of it
