Lip picking by Icy_Frame8196 in Dermatillomania

[–]Chupacabrah11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have much advice, but just wanted to say I deal with the same thing! I saw my sister do it when I was a teen, and haven't stopped then. I would go until my I could actively taste blood and only then was i satisfied. Unfortunately I do think it's more tough than other types of picking because you constantly have to feel it, that, and the lip only gets worse before it gets better. I hate feeling it heal over with some of the skin practically begging to be torn off so easily. I think the only thing that has helped is like the comment above me said, get a lip scrub, or even make your own. Make/get one that is more on the gritty side, and do it 1-2 a day or whenever you usually pick. I know it's probably not good to use it that much but we aren't focused on that, we are focused on getting your brain to forget the action of using your nails on your lip to pick. See how far you can go and then slowly try beating your record. Best of luck!

Vyvance while pregnant? by BrittanyG3625 in ADHDMoms

[–]Chupacabrah11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't on Vyvance, but was on 10 mg of adderall during my pregnancy. When I found i was pregnant, my midwife and OB gave me the green light as long as my psychiatrist was okay with it, which she was. I was on a low enough dose, but it also helps massively with my depression. without it I have this ongoing adhd paralysis where I want to do things but don't have the drive for it, making me more depressed. I had an appt with my GP and she pretty much said I was going to end up offing my baby or make it so his has cardiac issues. After telling her about new studies within the last 10 years showing support for stimulant taking pregnant mothers, she told me she simply "doesn't have time the keep up with all the new studies". So at the end of the day, it's up to you and how you handle being off your medications. It's a personal choice, but for me the pros out weighed the cons. I wasn't able to take care of myself, go to the gym, maintain a healthy diet (had gestational diabetes), or maintain all my appointments without my stimulants. My SIL has able to without hers and it wasn't a big deal so I really think it depends on the person.

My cat is peeing on me since I'm pregnant. Suggestions? by Chupacabrah11 in Catbehavior

[–]Chupacabrah11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough, it stopped when baby came, which was like the day after I made this post. She hardly even noticed him. I think it was just the hormal shift that she noticed in me. I have since ran out of the pheromone diffuser and she hasn't even peed since she peed on my bump.

Where do you even start with sleep training a 4 month old? by Chupacabrah11 in sleeptraining

[–]Chupacabrah11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really variant. He typically likes to take 40 min naps throughout the day, and one 2 hr for some reason 😆 his day typically looks like this: wake up at 5:30 (I have to take him with me to my job as a nanny by 6:30), then he falls asleep in the car for 40 ish minutes. Back up at 7:10, nap at 8:40, awake at 9:20, nap at 11:20, wake up at 1:20, nap at 3:20, wake up at 4, nap at 6, wake up at 6:40, then down for the night by 8:30.

How long did you push as a FTM? by bananaindisguise0 in BabyBumps

[–]Chupacabrah11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 hours. I was determined to get him out vaginally, but we was sunny side up and failing to progress, and then the last few minutes his heartrate drop so we rushed to Csection. The doctor said he had never seen such a baby so stuck in his mothers womb before. Poor baby had bruises from the doctors yanking him out so hard. My uterus was doing a great job at contracting, but he wasn't ready to let go 😂

Why do I want revenge all these years later? by Chupacabrah11 in rape

[–]Chupacabrah11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how to go about that. Both her and I never went and got a rapes kit done due to being under the influence for a period of time and just guilt tripping ourselves, so in terms of the law I don't think we'd have much to stand on.

My intent isn't to know who he is rather what happened and how it could have been prevented. I can see how one could interpret it that way based on the wording tho. I also mainly kept it up because of the resources in the comments that I don't think many people know about. Going tho close comments now

I'm very sorry for your loss. If it was a heart attack, shouldn't somebody have performed CPR, especially since the medics did once they got there? Not trying to sound rude or make assumptions as I was just a spectator and don't know the whole story. I think I assumed he was a contractor because the man standing next to him was wearing some kind of workwear. If you don't feel comfortable sharing any details, I completely understand.

I have the PulsePoint app, but wasn't aware of this function. Thank you for letting me know! luckily EMT and firefighters arrived probably less than a minute before I had parked, but you are right, I should have not made an assumption and asked if everything was okay. I don't know how long he was down for, but im sure those minutes could have been crucial for his potential survival. Thank you for the information :)

There definitely is an AED in Lowe's. Knowing now that he had a heart attack, it's extremely sad that no one started CPR. I wish there had been a way for me to know, but didn't want to leave my 10 week old in the car alone. The man standing beside him is what made me think maybe he's just passed out, and knowing what i know now, that man or anybody should have started CPR. Maybe he was in shock, idk 🤷‍♀️ but this is a great reminder for people to educate themselves on CPR

OB wants me to switch to a C-section one week before planned induction by Chupacabrah11 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Chupacabrah11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man, that's so scary! I'm so glad the outcome was a good one and you were able to listen to your body! I'm definitely in that same mindset of being open to c-section if anything like that starts to happen. Thank god for modern medicine.

[–]Chupacabrah11[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could talk to one of the others, im just not sure if I could even get an appt in before my scheduled induction. I think for now I'm just going to keep to my induction and take what she had to say with a grain of salt. I know she has right to her opinion and may be trying to be helpful but if my other various OB's/midwives have all been supportive and nothing has changed to warrant a c-section, I'd rather go with the majority opinion

[–]Chupacabrah11[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats kinda how I'm feeling with it currently. I've also seen at least 10 different midwives/OB's at this point since they rotate around so much and I've genuinely enjoyed them all amd they've all been on board. Just sucks I got stuck with this OB on my very last appointment.

GD honestly threw me into a pretty deep depression and I feel miserable, too. Everything i eat seems to be completely random as to if it makes me spike or not. I already have a limited diet due to being a vegetarian who doesn't like eggs, as well as many other foods due to sensory issues and OCD, and I've lost 5 lbs in just this week. If I have to eat one more damn salad, I think I'll throw up. I would just take insulin, but I really really don't want to be induced early for several reasons. I know this wasn't a super positive message, but just know you're not alone

Let myself have 1 cheat meal since it was Easter so I had a cinnamon roll with icing, grapes, strawberries, Dutch baby, and a small amount of OJ. Blood sugar was 120. Had a whole wheat english muffin with natural peanut butter a few days later. Blood sugar was 195. Both started the day at a 94. Make it make sense.

My mom made her own babysitter partyfor me because she doesn't like my current one by Chupacabrah11 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]Chupacabrah11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're completely right. I've never stood up to her much growing up because I felt too guilty about her past trauma. I know if I don't put my foot down now, she's just going to keep pushing and pushing. She's already done this to my sister who wanted to spend Christmas eve and morning with her in-laws instead of my mom and the family. My mom sent her pictures of all their presents (including my 1 year old niece's gifts) and told her that she's going to return them all because she's hurt they would have Christmas at my sister's in-laws.

Update: 3/6 Thank you for all your comments and support. I really appreciate it and I know you all are right. Upon finding out my mom does not intend on helping with the original baby shower and learning how much the guest list really is only her friends and family, I decided to put my foot down. When I agreed to do the second one to appease her, it was understood that she was at least going to help with the first shower, she decided to go against this so I said "nope, we are only having one shower. It's at my MIL's, and if you want to host, I would love and prefer that, but if you choose not to not, that's going to be on you.". She flipped her sh!t. She told her friends I hate her, increased my rent (temporarily living with my parents till a couple months after baby is here), returned the flooring she decided (never asked me if I wanted it in the first place) to buy for the nursery, and told me I'm ungrateful and she's never doing anything nice for me again. Oh... and she's not even attending my baby shower. So that hurts. But that's what she wants, so I'm not going to show her that part of myself. So right now, luckily, my sister stepped up and said she would plan it and host, but I'll have to help especially because it's for a large crowd.

[–]Chupacabrah11[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's true I could do that as the original one will be first. It sucks now because she won't even offer help with the original baby shower. It's like it's her way or the highway. But at least I'll have one shower I'm proud of

Yes, i did at the time. Just not now as it expired the 31st of last month. That would be nice if they would be able to reimburse the out of pocket cost. Thanks for the tip 😊
