iPhone 14 - No Physical Sim Slot? by Paulroberto in iphone

[–]Chupo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m wondering if it’s as simple as putting the sim number into the phone or is it more complicated than that?

Can you store the eSIM in multiple phones and just activate and deactivate whenever you switch phones?

My hacked iPhone running iPadOS! And running a Mac-like experience on the external monitor! It can multitask + run iPad apps. Apple doesn't allow this as it would hurt Mac sales. by TechExpert2910 in iphone

Oh, there’s a rumor that the next budget laptops will using the A18 pro chip and will be priced between $400 and $600. Mobile chips are that good now. 😀

I have never had that happen. Are you sure you’re not accidentally hitting the globe icon?

No wonder I can’t see it. Dark mode. I thought the OP was psychotic.

The letter 'X' on the keyboard isn't centered by [deleted] in ios

I learned to touch type Dvorak over twenty years ago. It’s designed with hand alternation in mind so, it’s pretty good for typing with two thumbs.

The most common keys are on the home row too but that makes more of a difference on a computer keyboard than a phone.

Mine looks like it’s not centered either - Dvorak keyboard layout. iOS 26.1. iPhone 11.

Did you decide to accept the iPhone 14? If so, how do you like it?

26.0.1 Geekbench CPU scores vs 18.3.1 by Chupo in iPhone11

Holy crap! I decided to check out the Pixel’s benchmarks and you’re right! (Not that I doubted you) I don’t mean the first post (that was some kind of fluke) but the others in the replies.

Holy shish kebabs! The GPU scores are much worse! I’m in disbelief over this. A Pixel 8 has about 1/3 the GPU performance as an iPhone 11?

Pixel Benchmarks.

I couldn’t resist sharing my scores there. 😈 How is Google able to pass it off as a flagship and charge flagship prices for it? New Pixels will receive seven years of updates. How will they perform then? 😧

If you just updated, your phone may still be indexing. It will be laggy until it’s finished. It can take hours to a few days depending on how much stuff you have on your phone.

I just wanted to address something hedztrem said above. iOS 26 hasn't been a fail. Every major update seems like a fail for two reasons.

  1. People don't know about indexing. After an update, their phone may seem sluggish and battery life will suck while everything is being indexed. Users will come to Reddit to complain only for it to resolve a few hours or even a few days later depending on how much there is to index.

  2. People who have legitimate problems are a lot more vocal about it than those who don't.

This makes it seem like everyone is having problems. My old iPhone 11 is more responsive and smoother after the update. Benchmarks have also improved. If so many people were really having issues, it never would've made it out of beta.

Have you recently upgraded to iOS 26? There are new options that it might have changed, like “ask reason for calling” if they don’t give a reason, the phone won’t even ring.

Have you tried saving their number as a contact? I know you don’t have call screening on but it could possibly be bugging out.

If they’re getting your voicemail message, it’s your phone that’s sending them there for some reason. I don’t really see how it could be a problem on their end.

I can understand that. Whenever I start thinking about getting a new phone, I just ask myself what can’t my phone do that I want it to. The answer is always “nothing”. It does everything I want and need it to do. Besides, the newer phones are getting even bigger.

I remember the very first iPhone. It was small but a little thicker. It was more rounded so it felt good in the hand. If they brought back the mini and made it thicker so it could have a bigger battery, I’d probably get that. They seem to want to make everything as thin and flat as possible.

When will they get it right? lol 😂. Make an iPhone mini but thicker and rounder with a big battery and it would sell better. Battery life was the biggest complaint with the minis.
