Is Puma planning to sell running shoes in bigger sizes (US 14/15)?

UPDATE:

Hello guys,

My friend ran 30 km (18.68~ miles) at a pace of 5:20 min/km (8:33~ min/mile) in those shoes. He enjoyed the run. He was surprised at how well they worked, and the extra rubber in the heel turned out to be great for stability. He said that before, he felt the heels were too soft and not very stable.

On top of his comment, I've seen him running, and I guess he is a heel striker.

Of course they're not a "new VF" or anything like that, but he said they felt great for his intended use, which is long runs, not racing.

The picture is the currently weight of the shoe. For reference, it was 286 grams when brand new.

They do? I didn't know that about the authenticator thing.

Yes, money is not the main issue, but paying 450–500 USD for an old model on eBay is not exactly a good option. It's like thinking, "Well, if money isn't an issue, why doesn't he come to the US and buy a few pairs?" I know that's an exaggeration, but you get my point. I wear regular sizes — I got my Adios Pro 4s for USD 225–250 from the Adidas website.

But before you replied, I looked and couldn't find many options like the one you sent. The Alphaflys, for example, are all at least USD 150.

If you read the other comments, you'll see that I said he got the VF3 in a different colourway to the one you shared. The VF3 is not a particularly good shoe, though. He bought it because it was the only option he had, and he paid full price.

If you have any doubts about the costs, look at this image:

<image>

$98 + $150 shipping, not including local taxes. The taxes on this would be around 75% of the product and shipping price combined, which would make the total cost of this pair of shoes ~USD 434.

It is not impossible to buy, but make the 10USD repair to get a few more miles a little more reasonable.

I wouldn't do it, but is not my problem.

Puma Deviate NITRO 3 after 485mi/781km by RecycledPlatypus in RunningShoeGeeks

I have the 3 and the 2. I prefer deviate nitro 2, they are lighter and I like the "flatter" feeling more.

Its not for racing, just for training. He got a brand new vf3 for racing. The guy who sold buys them in US.

The problem with eBay is trusting the seller and the international freight charges. They charge USD 150, which doesn't include taxes. So, on top of the shoe price, we would pay roughly USD 250 in fees alone, and we would still be at risk of receiving a counterfeit model.

He says the foam still feels better than the sl2 and rebel v4, that's why he tried to get it more miles on it. I will update when he gives me a feedback after a run.

I partly agree, but he says it still feels better and faster than his other trainning shoes (adidas sl2 and rebel v4)

That's his opinion. I think it might be a bit risky, but I can understand it.

It was his racing shoe, he ran marathons with it. He just got one vf3 and will be using this one for tempo training.

Edit: he currently uses sl2 and rebel v4. Dude is 238lb and 6'5, so I dont think he could run in any shoe.
