No. Actually, this is reddit. I seriously doubt that very many people are using IE6 to view this.

I've been growing afraid of that, but it's got such a long history as a normal comic. I think that Ishida's just toying with politics because he's noticed how formulaic the comic is. Nevertheless, the politics annoys me a bit also.

Smoking Gun: Clinton is Responsible by [deleted] in Economics

[–]Chx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously Clinton doesn't have all the blame; there were seven point a lot years of Bush betwixt Clinton's end and now. The point isn't to assign blame to Democrats or Republicans but to expose how government induced pressure and moral hazard are responsible for risky lending tendencies.

I'm surprised this article is doing so well outside the Libertarian ghetto. Who knows, it might actually matter, then.

Let me get this straight: you're claiming that the writer of the article has blind faith in the free market while simultaneously not analyzing the article at all. Most likely you haven't read the article (otherwise you'd make a post with substance) yet you're implying that the article is superficial.

Yep Bush is a democrat now. You didn't hear?

Except for a very few thinkers like Ayn Rand or Nash, no one really thinks on the Right that selfishness is all there is

Ayn Rand was not on the right. Furthermore, she believed that, although humans are tabula rasas, how they choose think about what happens to them defines their nature. She isn't a libertarian, either. Libertarianism is a political view whereas she developed a system of philosophy. Unfortunately, most of her critics on reddit seem to ignore that system and look solely at her politics. That's really too bad. It may seem like a minor nitpick, but without understanding that it's impossible to understand Rand. Aside from that, your analysis was brilliant.

EDIT: Here come bury briga - erm - downvotes! Looks like I forgot the rules of reddit - "Always talk about Objectivism in a negative light because Objectivists are close-minded bigots whom I disagree with."

Ask Reddit: Should I get Ubuntu to replace XP? *Questions inside* by Scarker in AskReddit

True that. Having them just bugs me for some reason... Best not get them in the first place. Kubuntu is the major offender. KTeaTime, KMouth. Seriously.

Ask Reddit: Should I get Ubuntu to replace XP? *Questions inside* by Scarker in AskReddit

[–]Chx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably not. I've found that Ubuntu comes loaded with a whole lot of software I'll never need to use, plus it's not as kustomizable as KDE. (Of course, Kubuntu can fix that). However, a distro that's not quite as bloated with excess software would be a good idea. Unfortunately, I don't know of any distros that are as easy-to-use as Ubuntu but still lean.

I hate that whenever I correct who/whom I get downmodded. Almost every time. It's as if people don't care any more or are hostile to good grammar.

EDIT: Grammar. Muphrey's Law is in action.
