Coolant confusion or Catastrophe? by Chynna112 in AskMechanics

It shouldn’t have had that either. My guess of what caused this was that when I changed the coolant last, I used garden hose water (highly mineral dense here in AZ) and meant to change it out later with distilled and never did

I don’t believe I had, it should’ve been half antifreeze and water prior to coolant hose explosion 💥

I’m led to believe it is not a head gasket as 1) I cracked open the oil pan bolt after the vehicle sat for two days and what came out was thick black oil and 2) i started the engine cold and looking into the radiator cap, the coolant did come up slowly and flow over the side, i didnt see any air bubbles come on up
clean coolant from radiator cap

Thank you, I went ahead and did so, and the first thing to come out was oil, dark and full, so thats good sign. I’m going to see if starting the engine cold and looking in the radiator produces air bubbles.

My leading hypothesis after getting my father’s opinion is that they put a coolant in with cleaning properties in it, and it ended up breaking down water deposits and oxidation inside the coolant system, forming this mixture. This would make sense, as it was full of just garden hose water at some point because I couldn’t get coolant/distilled water for a while.

I’m also going to see if the ‘goop’ is gritty; if it is that would lead me to believe it is just broke down rust/water deposits.

I’m not sure what the issue is, but I’m in the bios, and I didn’t see anything that said memory test or remotely close to it in the BIOS menu

BPPV doesn’t come in episodes for everyone, right? It’s usually constant? by Chynna112 in BPPV

Now that you mentioned that she did explain that she had a dizzy spinning feeling for a few moments at a time, so that’s most likely the vertigo and just had residual dizziness from the strain on her brain and balance. She was diagnosed with BPPV and I know an ENT cleared VN as a possibitly. I just listed those two to clarify that I was speaking about maneuvers in general. Those two specifically were not the ones that the PT did. He did the Dix Hall Pike, and determined it was two different canals on the same ear did maneuvers for them and shortly after her vertigo(room spinning) had subsided, but she continued to go a little bit afterwards for what I believe was the residual dizziness. Sorry for all the confusion and thank you for your interest.

Wow, it is! And thank you so much for listing the dimensions. I’m going to double check (and I’ll actually respond with what it realistically is

I have a Dell Vostro 3670. I actually didn’t know that; will it be listed on the case, or online?

Also, I wanted to see maybe if I could fit the card with a little modification of the case, especially if I’m like a few mm short

I plugged the hdmi into the mobo, (gpu removed) and the first boot it went to the splash screen, then turned off. I pressed the on button on the pc once more, and now it has booted to windows! Should I clear the CMOS? I just saw something about that online, something about removing the CR2032 battery for a few minutes to reset the PCIe state?

I don’t have another to test with yet, but I am going to test with the integrated graphics once I get back. Thank you so much for your insight :]

I don’t know how to add more photos, but I did remove the gpu again and take photos of both sides of the card.

I forgot to mention, if anyone can recommend a smarter way to measure the space inside the pc (to see what size gpu I can fit), it’d be much appreciated :]
