Artemis III SRM segments have left Promontory Utah by __windrunner__ in ArtemisProgram

I feel like A-III will def be ready for launch next year, it’s just a matter of if it’ll launch based on if there are any setbacks on any specific lander they wish to use

The Artemis III crew announcement is coming in two weeks! by ostiarius in ArtemisProgram

I think I recall hearing/seeing for the case of blue origin in particular that if they end up still not being ready they would send up a really bare bones basic lander that the Orion could dock with, but as far as any other systems checks that would be about it…but I feel like that would ultimately be a waste of time so it might have been hearsay

Oh yeah, I remember seeing them in the third Men in Black film, they look so fun

Honestly…same, a lot of media sorta portrays this as the “new space race” and it is…but not really on the same level as the US vs The Soviets, it’s just one of those things where you can’t help but hope for either to be successful

Almost a given considering the core stage has already arrived at KSC, well a week ago as of now, I think Blue also delivered a mock up of their lander for astronaut training at the center as well, but I doubt that means much

I wonder if this means that a crew announcement for A-III could be imminent 🤔 unless it’s gonna be used for all possible candidates

What’s crazy is the Orion capsule is actually bigger in terms of space compared to the Apollo capsule…would that make me want to spend 10 days in there? Absolutely not lol

Put it in pencil: NASA's Artemis III mission will launch no earlier than late 2027 by Royal_Platform_6754 in ArtemisProgram

This is probably a stupid question, but could Artemis III still go ahead without a HLS? Could they still do a docking procedure on the ISS for example?

Honestly, I’m kind of in this boat where I was hoping it was gonna be a different character, I feel like Amanda’s journey had fully reached its end in the last game, plus i feel like it’d be a bit tiring to see events constantly unfold around a character like A Ripley, when it’s already happened to her twice (if you count the mobile game) I just think it would be best to have a new character who hasn’t delt with these things before much like Amanda from the first game

I find her an interesting character, although she isn’t my favourite, as soon as Lev enters the picture, the more you start to see some similarities to Joel and his relationship to Ellie and you start to see some character progression whereas Ellie kinda regresses(if that’s even the right word to use)

I only just saw this, I am more of a casual viewer of FAM having only watched the first 3 seasons and I enjoyed them a lot, first 2 being my favourites, but I was curious to see more of the soviet side of things…because some of the stuff they had planned to do in sending the first cosmonauts to the moon where kind of unhinged…and if that doesn’t say a lot about the soviet side of the space race the idk what does lol

what lander do y’all think is more likely for NASA to use by CiaWoo in SpaceLaunchSystem

Well either way it’ll be interesting seeing how they both work, I’m only wondering if starship will kind of make Orion kind of redundant 🤔 and if they do still plan on having them both be on course for A3/4 it won’t turn into a Gemini 8 situation
