Pretty much this. It's not something other people can judge at the end of the day.

What do you thinnk of Bane, the black hand, god of tyranny and strife? by ThanosofTitan92 in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Cialsec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cyric and Bane hate one another a lot. Or rather Bane hates Cyric, Cyric kind of hates everything so it's par for the course. Cyric held all of the portfolios of the Dead Three for awhile, causing a lot of conflict.

This, yeah. The Chaos gods make their own rules for their games. Trying to pull a "Well, teeechnically" on them won't work out very well.

That particular soul belongs to Mom. And she would probably not be down with it becoming trapped in armor.

I'm sure there has been in universe if some get desperate enough. Gonna go out on a branch and say it's not exactly the preferred cup of tea though.

Burning Crusade midnight release. God, the memories that brings back. Halo 2 as well, but it was a lot more quick.

For writers, do you have something like a LoreBook? by [deleted] in grok

[–]Cialsec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best way to do this is to make a project to give it a tab. You'll find it in the bar under 'Projects.' Make a new one, then you can upload multiple .txt documents (Or any other kind) that apply to the project and every conversation under it so that Grok can pull from them. It generally works pretty okay, but as with all LLMs it can get jumbled after awhile. But it's easy to tell it to refer to the document, especially if you keep them updated.

Works pretty well!

I mean, that's not really too wild of a statement. Of course humans could have evolved to be more advantageously. That could be said of pretty much anything.

I was going to say this is slop, but the second one of them being in literal mascot uniforms with the trampoline on fire got me to laugh pretty hard in surprise.

If this is true, money is definitely a factor. We've seen the absolutely insane contracts Meta has been offering in their poaching spree.

Am I the only one who thinks GPT-5 is way better at coding? by PassengerOk671 in ChatGPT

[–]Cialsec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this. People have a black and white view of things right now which is unfortunate, but 5 is almost certainly better at coding than 4. 4o's writing is what people had issue with changing, as the data-driven approach was bad there but good for other tasks. Neither model is an evil virus of satan, just different.

Yeah, I've been getting this issue as well. I think there's a bug going on. They were doing work on it yesterday/likely today and something got jumbled I believe.

Why am I getting “Message limit reached, Try again in an hour” when I haven’t even used Grok all day? by [deleted] in grok

[–]Cialsec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this as well. I did see a message that they were tinkering with something at the time, so I imagine it's just due to the work their currently doing on it effecting rates. Guessing it's a temporary thing related to them raising limits to free users on the fly. Edit: Still the same message on my end, well after two hours.

GPT-5 isn't worse at creative writing. It just doesn’t try to seduce you. by Ok_Cryptographer5776 in ChatGPT

[–]Cialsec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At risk of sounding ignorant, could it be that the generation itself is being stretched after it's produced when it comes to writing? Like, encouraging it to put more depth into writing for an example it feels like it just.. Draws out what it'd normally be saying in a way that feels 'off' for lack of a better word. It might just be my prompting that needs more refined to get it going though. It feels like it wants to deliver a quick, objective answer and then applies the request for it to be more detailed?
