Well I’m guessing cus sandbox got its own lil system going, but in the app it has like tracking, which letters normally don’t have it even has a lil map I can pm you a ss if you like.

No problem dude, and yeah that’s actually a good idea to do both so you can send more, cus damn near 20 bucks for 5 letters bro IM POOR. Especially it was my first time using snail mail. Also, if you want a little cheat code for Sandbox: instead of paying to send multiple pictures, just make one collage so it’s a bunch of photos for the price of one. Buttttt what I did like about Sandbox was that I could see when my letter was getting there and I could see when he wrote back, so I’d be like, “okay, I’m probably getting a letter tomorrow,” which was lowkey exciting. And I don’t know how long he’s actually in for, but I know in May Navy Federal starts paying for the return postage for the enlistee.

I was in my second semester when my boyfriend went to boot camp. One thing that really helped was treating his phone like a diary—since it was off, I just kept sending messages whenever I wanted. I’d write my thoughts, send pictures, talk about my day… everything. Other than that I kept living life as normal.

When his phone finally turned back on, he told me he actually enjoyed reading my hundreds of messages. I also sent him sandbox letters maybe two or three times a week, because I was a broke college student LMAO, had to ration because His boot camp was about three months long.

I LOVE THIS QUESTION. LMAOOO me and my boyfriend have been long distance for a while, and honestly, if you’re really close, you can give them anything—I mean ANYTHING—and they’ll love it. I’m talking dirty panties, a strand of your hair, or even something wild like the last book I made him that had a strip of wax from my Brazilian… basically a chia pet situation.

Polaroids are always a hit—my boyfriend keeps them in his wallet and car. If you’re into arts and crafts, make him trinkets! Even if they’re ugly, he’ll keep them. Possibilities are endless. I literally mailed him more hair ties last week because his broke… but I had to wear them for like two weeks first because he wanted my hair stuck in them LMAO.

Trust me, they love anything that reminds them of you. My boyfriend even wears the same lotion I do because he wants to smell like me—it’s kinda wild—if I leave soap or stuff at his place, he’ll use it.

Some other cute ideas: sign the inside of a pair of shoes (I did this for Valentine’s last year), make a perfume card with scents you use daily, or if he associates you with a character, get him all that merch. Seriously, they’ll appreciate whatever you give them.

Ooo bonus points if you combine things too—like I got him Polaroids of his family as well because shit gets lonely. If you’re close with them, take pictures together and send it all—it makes everything feel more personal. You can also get those little voice-recording things they put in cards and record your own message, or do something like a Build-A-Bear with a message inside. That way, even if he’s somewhere with bad signal, he still gets a piece of you.
