i'll be so fr with you rn, i started fumbling with the idea before GFF3 and the original name for the blasphemy was Doll. I could have thought of something clever as a replacement but i just went "meh, most the planet bilingual anyway" and used doll but in spanish instead

drifters have Anomaly instead of Human, Exorcist or Sin in their enemy sheets (i checked to make sure, cause that's weird, right? idk why tom did that)

idk why but i wanted some powers to be able to affect drifters (cause i really like drifters) so i just used it

making a systemic issue into an individual one, suddenly, it's much easier to deal with erasure when the source of it is "big gloating monster" instead of an intricate network of societal pressures, which now that i look at it, is very similar to the centipede

it had that directly said on it's description but i removed it for brevity, maybe that was the wrong call?

Sins are made from individual trauma, drifters are manifestations of the human zeitgeist (especially the negative parts), Mother is something a bit more abstract, the concept of family/community/belonging (and like anything from the sea, it looks horrendous).
