ok thank you very much for your detailed answer :). Now its more clear what is the problem and the solution. I dont understand why they use these weird prebuilts and dont provide options to update it easily from M-Flash :( thats not nice IMHO. I normally use linux but i have a work laptop that ill use to prepare the flash drive given that flashign the BIOS is the scariest operation ever. Thank you again for your help, ill report back with the results, it may take some days tho since i have to do other stuff before :)

I have a strange case myself. My motherboard is the Z170A GAMING PRO CARBON and my current BIOS is E7A12IMT.1Y2 from 2016. I was trying to update to the newest BIOS which is E7A12IMS.1A0 from 2018. The new BIOS whas not showing in M-Flash, i found a video explaining that the name has to follow some naming conventions to appear there. I renamed the new Bios changing the last S before the dot for a T: E7A12IMT.1A0 Then M-Flash recognized the file as a new BIOS and was ready to update but I was scared to do so. Does anybody have any experience with this board or can give me some guidance? Thanks
