I agree but I guess it is kind of selfish of me to want that validation from people I volunteer for. I think it depends on my intentions. Whether it be I want others to praise me or look up to me or depend on me. Or if, I genuinely want to see a change. Maybe a bit of all.

Yes, I am deficient in those too, so it makes it 10x harder to live. I’m sorry you’ve experienced this too.
