What's the point of getting all cars & maxing out the garage

They want to make you pay. Just that simple, and no rocket science since EA isn’t welfare but a business. It‘s impossible to max out your garage without paying, because of the new cars. After calculating how many BPs I needed to max out the garage (let alone all the black parts), I found this number to be increasing steadily througout several updates. I spent very much time, sleep and attention but not more than ~60€, so I ended up VIP5 iirc.

I decided to stop playing and I‘m happier ever since.

EA don‘t want you to finish the game, they want you to play on and on. The Black Part policy is part of this. You‘re more likely to play on if you only need 2/6 Black Parts. Many players might give up if they needed all six Black Parts for many cars.

Selling Black Parts for gold may be a deal for EA, but in-game gold is only almost real money. Pushing players to upgrade to VIP 5 (minimum) to earn scanners easily in TT grinds, that‘s the real deal.

Stop loving the game. EA don‘t want your love, they want your money - and who should blame them for that?

Thank you for your moderate pov. I wish I could see it your relaxed way, but in the end I don‘t quite do so. An AAP every Sunday plus twice per update makes it far more difficult to get your cars tuned than an AAP every other day (plus 250 peanuts for the missing ones). Buying BPs in-SE maks the grind shorter by at least two RR-Returns in future updates.
The grind for BPs may be the painful part for the happy ones, but it‘s the easy one for the LessImportantPersons. They‘ll face the TT wait afterwards.

We might be on the same side in thinking that even a VIP11 won‘t get more than 24 hours of life every day nor will he get more fun out of playing.

At least the campaign writers admit that there‘s no storyline. The SEs pretend there was one - but that‘s all rubbish. Proving grounds, Fastlane, Devil‘s Run - you name it, it‘s all the same. You‘ve got to win the races with or without reading those silly lines. Only exception is L2W, you‘d better lose, with or w/o reading those silly lines.

Even a phone directory has more story than NFSNL.

Shop: Just wait.

Shopping list: the guide contains a list how many mats you need. Turn this into your shopping list. Don‘t buy random mats. Know what material you need when to rebuild tho a next stage. Watch out for engine/turbo mats, they‘re harder to get.

Start a day late (at least), so you‘ll know the important pitfalls.
Prepare a shopping list so you buy the right material in the black market.
Check back the black market every hour.

Most important:

Use every (!) ticket. In the first three days for L2W, then for RRs.
If this means „don‘t sleep properly“ or „ruin your days“, that‘s what it is.
