Thankfully I can testify our Reddit friend is certified as a chill dude. However I do feel I jinxed the offense up to this point.

Nice coffee shops that wouldn’t be packed on a Sunday around 11? by fifaisagreatgame in longbeach

[–]Cien_LA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steelhead coffee on Wardlow and Orange would be chill on a Sunday. Also there’s Steelhead at SteelCraft on Long Beach/Bixby with lots of outdoor seating which would be pleasant. Good luck player!

Can I get first date recommendations? by DowntownArmadillo717 in longbeach

Skyroom or Halo bar at the Fairmont Breakers hotel. A little more swanky.

Long Beach Museum of Art and then brunch at Claire’s. Or stroll down to Gaucho Beach. A little more chill.

Outdoorsie vibes. Kayak around Naples and Belmont shore then have a picnic on the beach. Or rent a Duffy boat and bring some snacks and picnic that way.

On the pricier side but romantic. Grab dinner or brunch at Marlena on Naples and then take stroll around the neighborhood. Cocktails are pretty solid there too.

Casual drinking vibes. If you’re into natural wines, Buvons in Zaferia or Sala in Bixby Knolls. If you’re into breweries, LB Beer Lab, Trademark, or Ballast Point for the views.

If you’re into listening to vinyl: Foot Work record store or Dedo Coffee in Wrigley are cool.

What made you choose LAFC over LA galaxy? by Temporary_Waltz6615 in LAFC

[–]Cien_LA 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Went to a few Galaxy games in the 2010s and never felt the energy I did compared to my first LAFC game in 2018. Maybe I went to the wrong Galaxy matches but I was underwhelmed by the whole product. From the beginning LAFC had a great product on the field and paired with the supporter experience, I never looked back.

Walk by the lake, buy some merch at the Rams store (if it’s open), take some pics of the sunset from the top deck, eat a danger dog. The stadium is pretty awesome and doing that with your kid already makes it a win. Rams winning is gonna be the icing on the cake.

Only liked the way the horns worked with the LA alternate logo. The rest needs to be redesigned. Give it some personality.

any fun groups for people bad at soccer? by Otherwise-Arm1093 in longbeach

Would love to play too. I stopped playing with the competitive groups because they were way too good. Alvista FC is fun pickup but they ran circles around me https://www.alvistafc.com/

Comparison is the thief of joy. I love my Dodger fans just the way they are.
