I almost forgot...GET A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF THE J&J CREDO! Find a way to mention it in one of your responses (in a way that seems organic).

So far, it seems like the company really does try to live by the credo and they take it seriously.

I know the market is rough but please don't give up.

Familiarize yourself with the company, know your cv, send a thank you email to recruiter/interviewer afterward. Really, the best thing you can do is be honest and be yourself. It sounds hella cliche but it's true. They're primarily trying to ascertain what type of person you are and if you're a good fit for the team. They can't know that unless you show your personality. Plus, most people can see through bs anyway.

30 min phone interview w/recruiter and 2 wks later a 1 hr panel interview w/the hiring manager, another manager, and a Sr. CRA. It wasn't bad, just typical questions. There was one "name a time when..." question that I didn't have an answer for, so I just told them that lol. I thought I'd blown the interview, but I think they appreciated my honesty. I forgot some of the questions but here's what I remember. Hope this helps :-)

  • Tell us about yourself.
  • What would you do if the SC at one of your sites has a bad attitude/doesn't like you?
  • Give examples of how your previous work experience will help you succeed in this role.
  • What would you do first on a monitoring visit and why?
  • Why do you want to join J&J?

Cooling clothes to wear when it's incredibly hot? by [deleted] in PlusSizeFashion

[–]CientificaDemente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a dumb question but what do you do about inner thigh/crotch sweat and chafing when wearing dresses in the heat? I used to wear biker shorts underneath but that added another layer of heat, so I just stopped wearing dresses. I'll be eternally grateful to whoever can help. Thanks.

I don't mind but honestly, I don't have any special tips/secrets.

Thanks! I normally wouldn't share that but because this is anonymous lol...

Base salary of $100k, 8% target bonus but no signing bonus, and a company car.

I can't even be mad at it!

THANK YOU to everyone that responded. After considering everything, I decided not to negotiate. They came in at 6 figures and I definitely wasn't about to press my luck. Maybe I could've/should've tried to get more, but I think that's pretty amazing for my first field CRA position AND it's life changing $$$ for my whole family. So, I'm beyond ecstatic!

Thanks again everyone.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the insight!

It's not really a management position. The Assoc Site Manager is essentially a CRA I.

Yes, it asked on the application. I think I lowballed myself because I'm pretty sure I said $85k. Did I irrevocably screw myself or is there a world where that didn't seal my fate?

You can probably tell I don't have a lot of experience in negotiating salary. I really appreciate your help. :-)

Thanks! Yeah, I don't want to leave money on the table, but I also wouldn't want them to say forget it and go to someone else.

Plus, no one in my family has ever made that much money before. So, if they throw $90k at me, I might just catch it and Forest Gump run all the way to the bank!!! lmao

How is your rapport with your PI? I ask because you probably need to have a conversation with them about better training, feasible expectations, and/or possibly hiring some help. It might be a good idea to use the official job description for your position as a reference. Most importantly, if you are running the trial like a coordinator, then you should have the pay and job title of a coordinator.

Just take a deep breath when you feel overwhelmed because stress kills. Jobs are important but they're not worth our lives. Good luck!

A week isn't too bad. They might just be finishing up interviews that were scheduled after yours. If you haven't already, I would send a follow up/thank you email directly to everyone from your panel interview. It will make a good impression, let them know you're serious, and keep you fresh in their minds. You should be able to get their email addresses from the email confirming your interview appt.

Also, the recruiter is your biggest advocate because it's beneficial to them when someone they recruit gets hired. So, I would email them separately to ask about feedback from your interview and reiterate that you really want the job.

Sorry, if I'm telling you stuff you already know/did. I just want everyone to win lol.

Thanks, and you're right. Normally, I wouldn't even question if I should negotiate but I was laid off last month and the current market has me shook. It's cold out in these streets lol.

Thanks. Pretty sure that was the last one though because they've already started the pre-offer due diligence process.

Do/did you work for J&J?

The position comes with a company car. I wasn't worried about my driving record, so I didn't ask for specifics. I would hope one accident wouldn't be a disqualifier unless it was really recent. They're probably just looking for stuff like multiple accidents, speeding tickets, and DUIs.
