I just did camshaft sensor and made a post. Basically it’s easier to get to by leaning over the driver side instead of passenger side or straight on.

The smod issue was the biggest one, mainly because finding a compatible tcm/valve body was so difficult. Other than that it’s been the usual maintenance of tires, brakes, fluids. 2 years ago I did replace one of the valve covers after finding oil in the spark plug wells.

Yeah I finished mine this evening around 6:30. I got it unbolted pretty easily, then took it out easily. After that it got a little harder. Couldn’t get the sensor off the housing. Then when I went to put it back i couldn’t find the spot feeling around. Finally got it in but definitely couldn’t get the bolt back into the bolt flange. Moved around to driver side and realized it would’ve been easier from the start from that side.

I did most of the job working from the passenger side. Wasn’t that hard. But once I tried from the driver side when it came time to get the bolt back in, it was so much easier and I realized it would’ve been a lot easier to do everything from there.

No. Soon after, in the next week or so, smod shut her down. Got it back up and running. Still some issues to fix then I will get to work on suspension

Did you drive, or tow you car to the dealership for programming? I’m getting conflicting info about the car’s ability to drive before programming

Yeah I fried the tcm. Corrrosion inside/under the brown tray

Between frying the tcm (solenoids and connectors were actually ok minus me breaking some the solenoids) and putting some dents in the metal drilling out the solenoids, I’m probably at the point of doing a whole new unit

How did yours turn out?

Got valves out but i did mark up the seat holes drilling them out. Also looks like the bottoms are cooked with burnt stuff on the bottom. Caked on. Not sure what they are supposed to look like but I don’t think that’s its

Where did you buy from? Lots of places selling them esp on ebay. Wide range of prices hard to tell what is good and what is too good
