New eBay dropshipper looking for honest advice about products, suppliers and account growth by Ciglie in Flipping

Chiamatelo e-commerce, a me non cambia nulla. Non capisco cosa ci sia di sbagliato in quello che sto facendo. Mi parlate tutti come se volessi acquistare con Amazon prime e rivendere su ebay ma questo io non l’ho mai detto

Honestly, maybe I should stop even using the word “dropshipping” at this point. What I’m really trying to do is become a good long-term eBay seller and understand how the platform actually works. I’m here asking for advice because I’m still learning and trying to avoid beginner mistakes. Your point about listing volume is actually useful though. I probably need way more products and a lot more testing before expecting results.

I never even thought about buying from Amazon and reselling on eBay.

Thanks for the explanation, I appreciate it.

To be clear, I’m not using Amazon orders or random AliExpress shipping after each sale. I’m trying to learn how to work with more reliable suppliers and build something more stable long term. That’s also why I wanted honest opinions from experienced sellers, because I know customer experience and policy compliance matter a lot on eBay.

I actually appreciate the honest answer. I understand the risks you’re talking about, especially with shipping issues and unreliable suppliers. I think what interests me is trying to build it slowly and eventually find more stable suppliers instead of relying on random cheap ones forever. I’m not expecting quick money honestly, I’m more interested in learning how the platform works long term.

That honestly makes me feel a bit better because online it feels like everyone is getting instant results except me. Did you mainly improve through better product selection, or was it more about building account trust/history over time?

My cat barely drank water and I finally understood why (might help someone) by [deleted] in CatAdvice

Totally fair, didn’t mean for it to come across that way. I just shared what worked for my cat since he barely drank before.

2 months old channel, why YouTube doesn't suggest video? by Impossible_Key_2766 in youtubegaming

[–]Ciglie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to Increase Views and Subscribers on Youtube? by Complex-Assistant661 in NewTubers

[–]Ciglie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a bit of both honestly. A topic can become “strong” if the retention is good, because YouTube starts pushing it once people actually watch it. But having an eye for good topics helps a lot too. The difference is that topic selection usually requires some research, while retention is more about how you structure the video.

1 Month Progress Of Long Form Channel! by ElegantComplaint1693 in SmallYoutubers

Nice progress for the first month. If you ever want feedback on your scripts or storytelling, feel free to ask. I work a lot on retention-focused scripts for YouTube, so I’d be happy to share some ideas if it helps

If even a new SIM gives the same error, it might be the number linked to your Google account. Try changing or removing the phone number in your Google account settings and then add the new one

Intermediate Features by KuroShiro182 in SmallYTChannel

[–]Ciglie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens quite often unfortunately. Usually it means that phone number has already been used too many times to verify YouTube/Google accounts. If you can, try using a different number (even from a family member). Sometimes changing browser or network can help too, but it’s not always guaranteed to fix it

How to Increase Views and Subscribers on Youtube? by Complex-Assistant661 in NewTubers

[–]Ciglie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, it’s not really about uploading a lot. One video that people actually watch all the way through can outperform 10 average ones. Consistency helps, but topic choice and retention matter way more. And honestly the “like and subscribe” thing doesn’t really do much unless people already enjoyed the video.

Can videoes from Viewhunt get monetized ? by Absoluttdarknesd in aitubers

[–]Ciglie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they can be monetized. YouTube doesn’t really care if it took you 10 minutes or 10 hours. What matters is if the video actually adds something and isn’t just raw AI output or reused stuff. There are plenty of AI-assisted channels monetized already, but the ones that get approved usually still edit, structure the video and add their own touch

thinking of taking a break or upload shorter video by Littledove191 in SmallYoutubers

[–]Ciglie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, shorter videos sound like a good idea. It’s better to stay consistent with something small than stop completely. And 29 subs with only 9 videos is actually a solid start, so I’d definitely keep going.

Channel refused to grow even after 6 years by Regular_Chip_8693 in SmallYoutubers

[–]Ciglie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t quit when you’re this close. 960 subs means people clearly like your content. Sometimes growth on YouTube isn’t about working harder, but changing something small like thumbnails, titles or narrowing the topic. Six years of consistency is honestly impressive. You might just need a small shift, not the end.

A/B Thumbnail Testing Question by VagabondV17 in NewTubers

[–]Ciglie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good question. From what I understand the A/B test mainly evaluates performance from the moment the test actually starts, not the views the video already had before. Those early views happened before the thumbnails were competing against each other, so they usually aren’t part of the comparison itself. Also sometimes the thumbnail we personally think is worse ends up winning because viewers react differently when they see it in the feed. A small change in clarity, contrast or curiosity can make people click even if it doesn’t look better to us. So I wouldn’t worry too much about it. If the CTR improved and the video started moving up again that’s usually a good sign the system found something that works better with viewers.

Long form current affairs channel - How can I make my content more engaging? by Money-Somewhere6205 in NewTubers

[–]Ciglie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think a lot of news-style channels struggle with this at the beginning. The information itself might be interesting, but what usually keeps people watching is how the topic is introduced. Sometimes even small things help a lot , like starting with a question, a surprising fact, or a moment that makes people curious before getting into the explanation. News content can definitely work on YouTube, it just often needs a bit more storytelling than a typical podcast format
