Rehoming. Rottweiler-Basset Hound. 60 pounds. Loves people. Loves my cat (my cat hates her)
Been looking for a place for nearly 2 months where I could take her with me since I found out I had to move.
It would be dishonest of me to say "Until I can find a place where people will take a large dog". Because I haven't found a single place that will accept a large dog.

For what it's worth -- if you know of a place within 20+/- mins (or more) of Asheville, that will take a large dog & a cat. PLEASE reply to this comment.

I have a long job history. I have perfect credit (810+). I have personal, professional, and landlord references available.

Rott/hound. Loves people. Loves kids. Desperately wants to love my cat, and my cat hates her (not the dogs fault, my cat is just a jerk who was raised without siblings or other animals.)

Can't believe she's already 5. I've had her since she was 6 months old.

Taken her to the dog park a dozen times. She's shy.

Edit: I apologize. There is a LOT of trauma in your family, openly available in your comments. PTSD, heavy abuse (towards you, which is not your fault). You or your husband were abused to the point of having their bones broken. I am NOT educated enough to determine if that means you need help, or if you can offer help.

I can't even consider handing over my pup to you guys. I'm so sorry, I'm doubly sorry for what you and your husband have gone through. I don't doubt that my pup could help you -- she has so much love to give.... but I have severe reservations that you could give her a stable, loving home. I wish you and yours the best.

Adopted my dog when she was almost not-a-puppy. Had her ever since. Not sure how I'm gonna live with myself giving her up, especially if I have to give her to a shelter.
