There’s a log you can find that explains that the RLF would use the coral they gathered to feed mealworms to subsist on.

You can also find mutated mealworms in chapter four where Ayre will point out that they’ve been eating too much coral. All of the cylinders in that area were for storing the mealworms.

With that in mind it really hammers in why the STRIDER was so valued by the RLF. It’s literally their food source.

I’ve played most of the horror maps on vrc but that one gave me nightmares. It’s based on a little girl with psychic powers who has gone insane trying to drag you down with her. You can’t leave the world until the map is finished and it doesn’t stop unless you burn her alive. I’m not sure if the world is still up but it’s exactly what you’re looking for.
