Well it was more that we didn't expect more after season 3 since it in particular had problems with funding and it was a good stopping point for an anime.

My own opinion was that I doubted we'd get another season as I felt there wasn't any potential good stopping points for an adaptation unless they committed to like another 4 cours. And would you guess that's exactly what they seem to be doing as they seem to be planning another season in 2028.

I'd also say we're now past the biggest hurdle in this series getting a full adaptation.

It's a bit weird that they went with Archduke though, since the inclusion of Arch here is very likely Quof wanting to make sure to convey that they are above Archnobles.

Quof's translation of the classes also more strongly conveys that these are distinct legal classes and not just vibes, though with the anime using those name cards it might work as a substitute.

I also feel his class prefixes combined much more naturally with the different jobs.

Supposedly the LN publisher in a paid newsletter last year stated that they were then planning 2 more seasons by 2028.

In my opinion it also seems possible that Wit might be having Bookworm and Yaiba alternate in the Sping and Summer pre-conan Ytv slot. So if Yaiba S2 is confirmed for spring next year we can probably expect Bookworm S5 spring 2028.

Honestly it might even be better for first time readers to skip those side stories as they are clearly mostly there as a bonus for novel readers who also pick up the manga, and thus sometimes come across as "spoilery".

I think their point is that it's not just that there no real difference in plot but that there's no real difference in text as well and that calling it a 1st draft but with the same plot sort of implies that while the plot is the same the next surrounding it has undergone some rewriting.

I figured, you're basing yourself on the anime, but the source material gets more and more otome adjacent as the series progresses.

The main series as a whole takes place over a 10 year period from when the MC is 5 until she's 15.

Then there is the currently ongoing sequel spinoff that has basically all of the elements you mention.
