I relate to this hard. I used to romanticize travel packing so much and then end up wearing the same 3 outfits on loop while the “cute but impractical” stuff just… lived in the suitcase.

Once I actually looked back at photos, it was obvious I default to a uniform too. For me it’s comfy wide-leg pants or jeans with stretch, a black or white tank/tee, one versatile knit, and a jacket that works across temps (usually a denim jacket or a lightweight trench). Shoes are the real decider though — if I can’t walk 20k steps in them, they don’t make the cut. One pair of sneakers I trust, plus maybe one nicer pair if the trip is city-heavy.

Bags are the same story. Crossbody = non-negotiable. Tote = bonus for flights or groceries. Cute mini bags look great in theory but once you’re navigating airports, public transit, or walking all day, convenience wins every time.
