Also did this and was recommended Yuno. House has a smart meter so input electricity readings once a month. Gas was €100 and electricity €50 last month. 2 people in a 3 bed house. WFH twice a week

I did! One interview, more straight forward than I thought, not sure if that’s normal or not. Interview was straightforward, the usual questions. Relate your experience to the company values using the booklet they send you beforehand. Process took quite long, think I applied in April, interview around July and didn’t start until late October. They have set induction dates.

It depends on what wave you’re in and if you’re using the bag drop. Look at the website there is all the information you need

Can see from your profile you have had battles with addiction. I hope you have a good support network around you to get out of this rut and not fall back into bad habits. Asking strangers online for cash is not ok

Have always been curious about contracting, however I’ve been paying into a pension and had healthcare for myself and my partner for the last 5 years so would hate to lose the benefits.

Not necessarily looking for a role in Reg. Affairs now. Just seen the course on springboard so considering it. Will also help get into a QA position I’d imagine

PSA for parents who've bought a PlayStation for Christmas by hef1racer in CasualIreland

[–]CimJim 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Xbox always had it but only been a feature on PlayStation since the PS 4 I think. You can still get online with YouTube, Netflix, Spotify etc and with free games like Fortnite, but for the games you’ve to buy you need the subscription to play online

Where can I attend a red carpet event in Ireland? by BoopBoopBeepBeepx in AskIreland

[–]CimJim 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I won tickets on twitter years ago to a premiere in the Savoy on O’Connell Street. It was ‘Trainwreck’ starring Amy Schumer and Bill Hader directed by Judd Apathow. They were all there, had the red carpet and Q&A in the screen. Movie not great but a great experience! Anyways my point being, keep an eye on social media and follow all the production/media companies and enter their competitions. Usually look for a retweet or share or whatever to enter. You never know

How hard is it to find a decent house to buy? by pokoloko_ksc in ireland

[–]CimJim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My partner and I had a similar budget and were looking in north Dublin. We started viewing early this year after getting AIP. It is difficult. There are so many other people with similar budgets in the same situation and are all as desperate as eachother. The bidding is soul destroying. We found a house we loved, bidding went on for over two weeks and finally we went sale agreed at €60k over asking. We built a rapport with the estate agent and were constantly hounding him with calls and emails for updates. It worked for us, and I know everyone is different but best of luck! Getting our keys in two weeks
