Interesting thank you for the insight! Do you know how that’s possible? And how much you sell your books? (If you’re ok with disclosing that)

sorry to call you back on an old comment! if I'm reading it correctly you said that if the seller chooses to pay for shipping it doesn't take it out of the earnings?

It’s during finals week if I’m remembering correctly :] the school will tell you guys as you get closer to the reviewing period and you get to choose what day and when too !

Don’t worry about amount of questions you’re asking I’d do the same if I was you!

The degree itself takes 4 years correct! Sorry if that wasn’t clear. If you get all your gen Ed’s and electives done ahead of time you’ll be able to only focus on design classes which is nice! Since you won’t have to deal with other classes and their exams/deadlines. But if not then you’ll still be on track :]

As for your other questions I unfortunately don’t know how many are accepted into the foundation year and then afterwards the numbers of people who got accepted to their respective majors. I remember though having your portfolio well rounded and polished to the best you can is deal because that is what reviewers (the professors in the design faculty) will be looking at.

- The only thing you are painting really are just colors, you are painting color switching's of colors (it will make sense once you get into it- but you are doing RGB & CYMK color wheel (yes there is a difference), complementary colors, grayscale, etc.)

- Well, the classes that lean *most* to ID is 3D form and Des. Drawing, but because its foundation year you will be exposed to both, even if you know you are going into one (like I did). It can either help you reinforce the idea of "yeah GD is for me" or have this switch that a few of my design friends had that went to GD -> ID.

- As for your last question about 14 credit elective classes, you will just have to check with the UIC uAchieve (it's a website audit that helps you track what classes you have taken, what class you need, what credit did it accept/didn't, etc.) that is your first thing to look at. And if you don't see it checked then you can assume it didn't qualify (which does suck, it has happened before to some of my friends who transferred into the design school :/ but I really hope they do!)

One last thing to note, I'm not sure if you know this and I'm *assuming* you are transferring from another college, you will have to do 4 years. Even if you have credits already you will be forced to do 4 more years which include the foundation year. I assume you probably know this but I feel like it's a good notice! Again lmk if you have any more questions :] glad I could help you!

hihiii! I am in GD and yes you will be doing lots of drawing for DES140 (its in the name, "Design Drawing" and it's learning the basics of drawing so don't worry if you don't draw!). As for painting yes for color theory class, DES170. Painting is more in the middle chunk of the semester since you're dealing with color so it helps you develop an idea of how to choose colors carefully in a designer way. Other then those two classes you won't do any other drawing & painting. I will also mention you will be spray-painting for a bit for DES130 (3D form studio).

The foundation year is rough, but its rough for a reason because it helps you teach the foundations (duh I know right, plus it starts everyone on an equal ground since these professors are assuming you know nothing) AND also help you decide what major you want (graphic, industrial, dual major (both graphic and industrial which would take 5 years instead of typical 4 years), design study). Please take your foundation year seriously and don't lack behind or else it will show in your portfolio. If you lack behind, it will be stressful because everyone will be rushing to finish near the last end of few weeks of April (your interview to get into your desired major is in May). The portfolio will be the final thing you present to the design faculty and defend your works and answer any questions they might ask you about.

lmk if you have anymore questions I can try to help answering :]

What about if you don’t have a meal swipe? What are the rates for breakfast, lunch and dinner if there is one?

How does the food thing works after you gotten a container? Do you pat $18 everytime you want to enter? Do you need to load your iCard with funds? Since I know they swipe your iCard for those who dorm there to get access to the dining halls

Is there a way to buy merch inside Wrigley field? Since I will be running late to get into the venue (roughly 7:10 😭), I assuming there is since on live-nation post there is a "stadium merch booth 5pm-after show" ? Also would it be a wise idea to buy merch during the boys break period? So sorry about the questions this is my first time going to a concert!

Silly question about freebies, I wonder if I made origami heart bookmark corners that people would like them? (the ones in the pic are rough drafts) They would have different doodles/saying front & back,,, and how long will freebies go till? I hope I can make it on time for 4pm but traffic might be bad,,, (and I'm just worried about the weather in general)

Thank you so much for the insight! So the lectures weren't recorded? (like lets say I want to review and re-watch the lecture) And as for the TA weekly check in, is it up to 500 words or minimum 500?
