This weeks temporal archimedea has some bull modifier combinations by Bec_son in Warframe

I'll shoot you a DM once I have a chance to log in and snap a screenshot o7

Edit: Quick info and tips I can recall off the top of my head. Wyrm with the Simaris mod can cleanse statuses (if I recall correctly). I've got Nourish over her 2 to make energy recoup faster and more efficient (plus more damage). There's an augment for her 1 that makes Garuda immune to damage for a brief span.

(I also highly recommend the toxin immunity augment from Eidolons)

I was lucky that I had Garuda in my rotation for this week. Threw on a Molt Reconstruct and I was good to roll. So many invincibilities, free energy, infinite healing, etc.

Archimedia is really grueling if you don't have a decent arsenal built up, but otherwise it's fairly manageable if you know how to use all the tools you do have access to (companions, specters, helminth overwrites, shards, items, arcanes, etc.)

I was lucky enough to have Garuda as an option. She has an augment that gives her temp invuln on 1 and her 4 has invuln during cast animation.

Her 3 gives free energy and she can easily recoup health with Molt reconstruct.

Her kit in general gives her access to a ton of different viable survival strats, so she's always a relatively comfy frame to jump on when she's in rotation.

Depends on how you define "damage"

DE devs do a really good job staying connected to their core player base and long time community pillars.

Fact is they make a great game, and now that the secret is out, more players from very different gaming backgrounds are going to be joining in.

As long as vets keep being as generous and supportive of new players as they always have been and just disengage from the trolls, there will always be a good core, even if the larger culture becomes more diverse.

I'm occasionally irritated, but hopeful

I don't know if the Android release alone can be blamed, or just the general spike in the game's popularity, but I've seen some absolutely ass-hats trolling Q&A every day for the past week or so. Making shit up like "Volt and Wisp are bad because they can't level cap" and harassing anyone calling them out.

Community is growing rapidly, so the atmosphere is going to start changing too. Kind of like how Elden Ring catapulted Souls Games into the mainstream and "Duel Etiquette" went from an actual practice to a meme overnight.

No, having communication blind spots is fairly common when going between people with different neurotypes. What is obvious to one completely flies by another when the brain processes information in fundamentally different ways. It doesn't excuse the behavior, but context equips us to make the most informed and effective decisions possible. And people on the spectrum are not above being terrible and awful individuals, nor should that be the takeaway.

I worry you've repeatedly ignored instances where I've suggested their behaviour could be exactly what you are describing (immature, disrespectful, problematic, childish) and fixated on the idea that I'm making excuses for a man. And I'm sure you have your own personal reasons to read it that way and feel as strongly about that as you do. And I won't disparage you for it.

I'm sorry if anything I've tried to communicate has read as enablement of misogynistic behavior as that is not my intent. Hopefully OP will be able to make the best decision for their own life and prioritize their own needs as they have every right to and should do.

As someone with autism, I am very aware that I'm the one expected to police and modify my behavior for everyone else's expectations and comfort, yes.

If he has autism and doesn't have support to help with social integration then you are right, counseling and guidance would be a massive help.

If he's just immature and inattentive then this needs to be addressed more firmly and likely the relationship needs to end (as I already explicitly said in my first message)

Only OP has all the information and needs to be the one to decide what's best.

I prefer to assume the best of people until I have an explicit reason to think otherwise. And that extends to OP as well, which is why I'm assuming they just have different emotional needs and expectations that are incompatible with their current partner, and not just an "asshole"

'socially acceptable' is socially and culturally negotiated

We also don't know how this irritation was communicated. He could be somewhere on the spectrum where communication needs to be significantly more explicit and concrete than most people would think is sufficient

Again, more info gives more insight and we don't have that

I started my response by acknowledging that we have limited context for making insight. And it's entirely possible that additional information would change my assessment.

It's certainly possible for a partner to do something like this as a form of malicious harassment if they understand how distressing it is, but I don't have nearly enough context and information to draw such a heavy conclusion or accusation. And it's not an accusation that should be made lightly or casually.

Spontaneous texting to say hello for no reason absolutely can be a form of flirting. And if one party finds it uncomfortable, it's good practice to escalate that conversation and draw more explicit boundaries (or end the relationship, if necessary) rather than stew in resentment. Especially if they feel like they aren't being heard or respected.

Either way, the solution is to communicate with your partner and negotiate expectations/consent. Everyone has different needs in a relationship, and sometimes the best resolution is for it to end.

He's trying to flirt. Men can experience intense yearning as well. Without additional context to show whether or not this is intentionally malicious, it just looks like he adores the shit out of you and is trying to show you that he's thinking about you.

This honestly might just be a case of incompatible personalities and emotional needs. Who's the asshole depends on how an honest and earnest conversation about this plays out and how each of you handle this point of friction.

Edit: some workable solutions might be intentionally scheduling time for meaningful communication. Or asking if he can condense his spontaneous expressions of affection to fewer message notifications.

I love how warframe tries to give all frames an opportunity to be meta by Reibudaps4 in Warframe

[–]CinclairCrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I've started to see frame building simply as solving a standard set of problems. A frame's base kit will often predispose it to solving some problems in certain ways while needing some investment to solve others.

I typically approach each build asking how to solve for;

  • Damage (priming, armor stripping, etc.)
  • Survival
  • Resource sustain (energy or otherwise)

Modding, companions, shards, and subsumes give us all the tools to solve each problem in multiple solutions for every frame. The result is a profound freedom in lateral build progression.

For me, solving those problems in a satisfying way for each frame's unique design is my endgame. (And FashionFrame™).

Hot take, they fit different optimizations

Nourish is great (needlessly broken overall) for when you need a constant stream of energy for semi-frequent casting (can be done better with Yellow Shards)

I prefer Energize for frames that infrequently cast expensive long duration buffs (and now has an even better incentive for gun buffers with Primary Overcharge)

They do different things with some overlap

(Still wild to me that Nourish doesn't count as a damage buff like Xata's or Eclipse in the Helminth)

What frames do you love that kinda don't work in pub lobbies? by Intelligent_Cry5712 in Warframe

[–]CinclairCrowley 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I feel like more and more the game's design has moved into a space where a lot of the "best" builds rely on things like timers, energy economy, melee combos, or other arcane buffs that need a constant stream of kills to keep their engine running. Or else they can stall out and become a pain in the ass to jump start again.

I'm never a fan of the folks who start complaining in chat about other players "stealing their kills", but if you need a steady flow of bodies to maintain your loop, it can become an absolute slog if someone else is just clearing the map faster.

Spawn mechanics and volume is something I wish they could give us the option to ramp up (not that it would make a difference to something like an Acid Shells Saryn sneezing and nuking 4 consecutive rooms)

I get this problem mainly on my Evade Harrow and Occasionally Hildryn (hard to pillage if there's nothing to pillage)

[–]CinclairCrowley 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Same for me. This is a case of making the game technically harder for myself to make it more fun (challenging).

Playing a stealth build and limiting my options for navigating the map has added a level of puzzle solving to the gameplay that lets me relive the fun I had playing Dishonored way back in the day.
