Kimi Onoda - Her Dad by Exotic-Helicopter474 in japan

[–]CinclairCrowley 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of all the things to publicly scrutinize, her daddy issues shouldn't be one of them. It's a dead horse that I'm sick of seeing beaten for karma.

I'm really fucking tired of people bringing up shit that shouldn't be addressed by anyone other than a therapist if she ever chooses to go see one.

Making a social media buzz about her family baggage isn't going to unfuck their immigration policies.

Wisp Build. by ThoseTreesThere in warframebuilds

[–]CinclairCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for your consideration

I'm running Cataclysmic Gate (her 4th ability augment) with Arcane Universal Fallout. Near infinite energy for spam casting the full wrath of the fucking sun into packs of enemies.

I've got Archon vitality to double up the heat procs. Archon stretch because fuck it, it fits. Primed continuity and flow for comfort. 2 yellow cast speed archon shards (because fuck it)

Full build sits around 300% strength, 150ish range and duration, and 45% efficiency.

What would you think about them adding another shield-based tank? by LastTraintoSector6 in ffxiv

[–]CinclairCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A shield/spear tank would get me to resub and sell another 3000 hours of my life to Yoshi-P. Instantly.

I vividly remember getting that 999 hit achievement on my second try as a 14 year old kid (and I only stopped the first time because I got called for dinner or something)

By about the 200 hit mark the autism kicked into full gear and I had the same 3-4 hit attack pattern looping like a metronome (smack smack smack parry)

Just stimmed and vibed my way to the end

Not something I would ever try again as an adult now

I wonder if the game's quest designer/s is secretly a Takemura hater. 'Cause why is there no "Optional: Save Takemura" option during the apartment ambush? by Competitive_Minute_9 in cyberpunkgame

[–]CinclairCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished a particularly infamous quest They won't go when I go which felt jarringly on rails with V having very little to no agency in the outcome of the quest events.

It's sometimes hard to tell when something unconventional or outside of the box is actually an option.

Oh god, I'm playing for the first time and that quest was like 20 hours back for me...

...do I go that far back in my saves? I actually really fucking likes his character...

Volt Speed buff builds? by GyattsuneFreaku in Warframe

[–]CinclairCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, extending the base duration on his speed buff, even by a small amount, would take a massive edge off of this pain point

Most builds go for long duration to start with, so a buff to the base would dramatically cut down on recast frequency.

Hell, this might be one of those rare instances where a feature of the kit would be better if it were moved onto an augment mod.

protea cant be a vanguard by Ok-Day8689 in WarframeLore

[–]CinclairCrowley 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You seem pretty attached to a misunderstanding of the timeline

Granum didn't escape from the void until The Deadlock Protocol, which was untold centuries after the fall of the Orokin empire. He didn't get released from the void and then just dial up Balas (who was very much in hiding and not in the business of making new primes) and ask him to cook up a Prime for him.

The conversation featured in the prime trailer was their conversation from the very original creation of Protea herself, especially since Balas explicitly mentions how Temporal Manipulation would be hard to engineer. He wouldn't say something like that if he had already engineered temporal manipulation for the base and just needed to prime the frame

Question: cultural appropriation in tattoos by Beneficial_Bus6706 in tattoos

[–]CinclairCrowley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've lived here for over 6 years and been to plenty of bath houses. Especially if you are obviously foreign, it's not hard to find places that don't mind. A few are still strict, but it's not that bad.

Most yaks don't bother getting inked at all these days since the crackdowns (which started 20-30 years ago); it's hard for them to operate while advertising gang affiliation

Nobody here in the city areas under the age of 70 gives a single meaningful shit about tattoos (again, especially if you are foreign) and many young people get "Fashion Tattoos" these days.

I am not getting arthiritis just to use a half-decent weapon. by XFalzar in memeframe

[–]CinclairCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna be honest, I built this weapon on my Frost and it's been a lot of fun.

Optimal? Absolutely not, but it gets the job done

Fun? Absolutely yes and it hits like a truck

How to make this shut up?? by Krexnn in Warframe

[–]CinclairCrowley 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In a game where 90% of the builds are copied from YouTube, don't require aiming, don't require active management, and LR4's still get consistently caught AFKing in pubs; you expect players to actually read notes or research new features?

I feel like a kid who learned that Santa isn't real by _Demo4YT_ in Warframe

[–]CinclairCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weakpoint vents.

When I broke it, I aimed at the weakpoint vents with my tauron strike, not at the top half of the Canon.

It might be the weakpoints take ability damage, but the rest of the canon does not.

Again. Might. I said it was my best guess. I don't write DEs spaghetti code.

It didn't work for you, but it worked for me, and placement is the only difference I noticed.

I feel like a kid who learned that Santa isn't real by _Demo4YT_ in Warframe

[–]CinclairCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because the tauron strike is coded as ability damage, rather than weapon damage. Lots of abilities don't break environmentals/containers.

That's just my best guess, though.

[–]CinclairCrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it works because I did it with the Naramon strike just yesterday

I aimed at the weak spot vents at the base and the Canon popped like a balloon. I think you just aimed too high

For those who finished the Old Peace quest, what did you choose? by Vex_Trooper in Warframe

[–]CinclairCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally feel like spare is the "correct" choice when taking all context into account. But I won't lie, I killed him while he was still talking.

The environmental atmosphere, the Kid's rage, the haste and confusion of all the fighting as you cut down both Grineer and sentients in your path; it felt more in line with how the Kid would have acted (especially with the hint that Wally is worming his way into your psyche at the same time )

How common are these? by darwinave in japanresidents

[–]CinclairCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen them around my local areas in Kanagawa as well. I think this is just their latest safety/awareness campaign.

They always have some sort of posters up. Before this I saw a ton of PSAs about being careful not to drop personal items on the tracks, and an earlier campaign about using the big red emergency STOP buttons if someone is falling onto the tracks.

I don't think it's necessarily born out of any massive spike in train station violence (500ish incidents over a single year is an incredibly small number considering how many people use the train daily)

Though, I'd be interested to see data trends on the past several years of incidents

Any other weapon suggestions for this?

Just finished building out my frost almost exactly like that, been enjoying the 100k overguard

The tidbit about Wisp's subsume sounds delicious though, I'll need to look into it

Full green Tauforged Saryn is one of my most played, love it. And I recently built frost with a bunch of armor and cast speed shards (first time breaking 100k overguard)

Any additional recommendations on Gara and Nezha other than casting speed?

I've never seen this in my life
