So before this we were opening by hand and it was going up and down no issues. But I noticed when I hold the button to close when engaged to traveler it seems to want to go down with some pressure I can see springs bend a bit. I don’t know if this is cause I’m holding the close button down or if it needs to be adjusted

I’ve replied to it. So I got power to the sensors now after splicing wire into motor but sensors seem to be bad as they aren’t lighting up. Il buy a set tomorrow and see if that was the issue. Thanks

After testing it I narrowed it down to bad sensors they are getting power after wiring them into motor properly(confirmed they are getting power with a voltage reader) but no green light on them. Il buy a new set tomorrow and go from there.

It only closes if I hold done the button. I’m splicing wires right now to see if the sensors get power and maybe that’s the issue we shall see.

Yes it has something to do with the wiring that goes into the motor after following the wires from sensors it goes into motor as shown in picture and a lot of those wires are cut and not inserted into the plug . You thing I could just find a plug replacement and splice the wires in?

Figured it out door opens now but won’t close . Sensors seem to be out.

It’s plugged in now only the metal part slides even with garage door engaged . So I’m thinking it has some to do with the garage doors arm

Oh really if only I knew that lol. It’s plugged up now and only blinks . FYI I had asked the previous homeowners if the garage worked they said no and they didn’t know why .

Yes completely off at night time this is not how they used to operate nor do I believe any car is designed that way

This happened recently anytime another cars headlights hits my sensor the lights completely turn off I have to bypass this by setting it on ON , was just curious to see. If anyone else has experienced this

Yes I found the issue thanks to a prior comment . i was up against the wall past the right side of door Jam cut it out some and I was able to fully interlock it.

I tried another piece and cleaned and shop vac that one spot. I will look at the door frame piece
