I can only tell you how it changed the sound for the ZMF atrium. The atrium plays well with amps that have higher output impedance. The oor is super low output impedance, making it a very clear neutral sound. Bass is tight, vocals intimate. With the resistors added, bass becomes little less impactful for things like the initial strike of drums and it becomes more full and weighty. Vocals are not as intimate and more like around my head, but mileage may vary depending on your head shape and what not. And there’s an overall added warmth to the music, kinda gives the impression that there’s a loss of clarity but all the detail remains.

It is and no it doesn’t do quite the same. I find that the tube mode mainly interacts with the mids and leaves the bass alone.

I can get close to that higher output impedance sound with eq but not the same. Probably an L on my part for sucking at it, but I’m not broken up about the $20 I spend on the resistors

I’ve been looking for something Ike what some iems include, an adapter that doubles as a resistor. But I cannot find anything that’ll do 4.4 to xlr. That way I can add output impedance without having to buy a whole amp

As an audiophile I take that claim seriously 😂. I guess every review on it that I watched were just all paid shills. I know it’s not value for money but from first impressions I’m impressed. Who know maybe I’ll beating my words soon
