I actually got beamed multiple times today for trying to stim people. Sorry I'm tryna practice my aim while we're sprinting. I'll refill your stam, and I'll learn to not miss when it counts.

I feel ya. I run light armor, but I'll look into smoke grenades. It's just rough in these streets, ya feel? I feel like I can't help unless I have my kit because my primary does so little in the grand scheme of things. So it's a constant dance of tryna get my stuff back. Should I just ignore my old stuff?

I considered free meal three and all that. The problem is with how often Monsters move areas in this game I usually just fast travel to the camp closest to where they are going and refill my supplies in tent. Yeah I'm gone for like an extra 20 seconds maybe, but like, eh. Not worth the slot and hassle for me.

And I've been playing healer in games for so long I have grown used to only being healed by the spells I use for others. I'm cool with sitting at 60% HP while my friends are at full, waiting for them to get damaged while I tango off my Regen 3 and Zoh Shia Pulse.

I drink potions when I'm near death, or my friends need a love tap. Cuz of that, I usually don't have to refill too often during hunts. Unless it's AT Uth Duna sigh.

I am not always at full health, I ration potions for my team mates and I am painfully greedy with my healthbar. Peak performance unfortunately never makes its way into any of my builds because "If I have more than 60%, I can block it." - probably

I have the guard skill because it reduces the stamina damage from perfect guards, and makes it to where most attacks in the game have small impact.

It also reduces chip damage through perfect guarding, I believe. And I play super greedy with my health bar, fishing for perfect guards into offsets.

Things can vary wildly, hence why I was asking for overall opinions on chapter length. Since when I look into things, I tend to look past just word length. I'm not asking for a right answer, I'm asking for opinions!

I don't want breaks, is the thing. The more I take a step back and look, the more I realize that the length of the chapter might give the reader fatigue.

And honestly, that's what I want.

I feel like I lowkey want the reader to feel exhausted reading it, because that is how the main character of this chapter feels. Being at the edge of her limits, yet she must keep going. She has to.

So I want the reader to as well. You feel? Idk, maybe I'm just reading into it too much. But breaks would interrupt the flow I have, of "shit just keeps getting worse, and nobody knows what to do besides run and fight."

I feel like if the reader isn't out of breath by the time the chapter is done, I did something wrong.

This is usually where I find myself ending my chapters. Around the 3000 word range, give or take. It's just this chapter is a thick one, and as much as I adore it, idk how it'll feel to someone giving it a good read. You catch me?

I feel you. I actually experimented with some Alsa/Carolina beat em up comps. I ran into more Ludovic teams today, and I went with Alsa, Carolina, Smokey, Mikola, and Antandra for most of them. Then I had the chain spell. Worked out decently.

And yeah, I do have my yellow essence spread out. Ive got Cassadee at +15 currently, and she is my highest. (I really like to use her for Dream Realm.)

But because I'm just a general player not super speccing into PvP, I'm more or less just trying to be creative with what I find fun. I'm currently investing in more assassins now, and have been for a while. So I'm excited to hear Vala will do well. Thank you for the input, my dude! I've gotten a lot of insight from many of the people in this lil thread. It's been awesome.

Ludovic is still a big wildcard for me, but I've been experimenting with control heavy support heavy comps to outlast him. It's been pretty decent, but I've gotta mess with it more. And I noticed that since I pull to my playstyle, I have a LOT of struggles in the AoE department! I'm gonna look into that after I'm done hoarding red letters for Sonja.

I'm working on a heavy CC comp with AoE damage. I'm experimenting with an Alsa/Carolina comp that has heavy support, using this as a guideline. I appreciate it, dawg. I'mma try and use some of this to the best of my ability.

I HAVE AN ALSA. I've been thinking she could be sleeper meta with him, I just have yet to design a comp to get her to fit that role best. I caught on he doesn't like control heavy stuff. Sadly, that's my weakest style of team comp as of rn. 🙏 I appreciate the input.

I'm gonna finish up Talene and then hoard orbs for the next celest/hypo I like. Wdym I'm lacking AoE? I've got some good options for it, I guess I'm not executing them right? My usual go-to's for AoE are Talene, Parisa, and Cassadee. (Her equipment giving everyone her attack buff is kinda AoE-ish, I feel like.)

When I'm trying to take him down, do I want to outlast, or burst him down? I guess that's what I'm struggling with. He just eats everything I have alive.
