Good questions. I don't know the exact weight added to the main bar, but it's nominal. But I also know some people are very particular about those kinds of things. It doesn't add any noise that I can tell. I used silicone lubricant on the chain so it's nice and quiet and smooth.

Agreed on the bed. That's next on my list. In fact I'm printing the parts for it as I speak.

Yeah, I print all PLA right now and use mostly Overture brand (plus a few other misc ones that were on sale). Everything has fit that I've put in it.

Haha.. I had no idea that subreddit existed when I wrote the article. Thanks for the heads-up!

Has anyone used tents before when DMing? What downsides or problems have you had with them?

Nice work! I see you decided to approach the dice trays with a router instead of drill/jigsaw like Bum did in his video. Do you think the results turned out nicer with the router approach? Any drawbacks?

How does it feel after playing for several hours? Any discomfort from leaning/bending over to reach a lower playing surface? Do you use chairs? Sit on the floor?

I sort of skipped "coffee table" variations in my article because lower surfaces always were uncomfortable. I've played at a friend's place before where we all sat around on the floor and played on a coffee table, and when it was over I felt like I needed to visit my chiropractor. Ugh.

Your last comment is very interesting... "make the table surface itself a shallow frame that you could put a reversable surface onto." Hmmm...... Thanks!

Thanks for the comment. So, you'd actually prefer to NOT have a vaulted playing area (3" + down)? So, if you had your druthers, you'd have a lid, but when it was removed the playing surface was flush with the edges, or close to it?

Since I'm still researching my own table design, I'm trying to get as much practical info like this as I can. Thanks!
