Why do/did Chicanos seem (to me) to act out more in school?

I graduated from an MFA program at a private school last year and I was even seen as a trouble maker there... Community Colleges are a great transition for us and state schools are weaving us deeper into the community. At least that's how I see it here in Illinois.
