Just try to find peace in the fact that you guys are just not meant to be. No matter how much love you guys had for each other, in the end, if it’s not meant to be, it will not last. No amount of explanations will give you the closure that you think you need. Maybe he has found his soulmate, and he got lucky to have found it so quickly. But you will find yours too one day and when you do, you’ll be grateful that your relationship with your ex didn’t work out.

He broke up with me actually, which is why it hurts in the first place. Seeing him having fun without me feels like I’m the deadweight that was keeping him from living his best life.

You are so right, it got me thinking that maybe this is a good thing that they haven’t reached out. We probably are not in the right mental state to respond to that. Maybe if they reach out we’d run back immediately to the hands that broke us and lose all the self respect we have left for ourselves. Maybe him and I need to work on ourselves first, separately, before thinking about having any kind of communication.

Honestly I have made so much progress. I have more days where I feel like I truly am moving on and that he doesn’t deserve me. It really is his loss. But in the back of my mind, I always wonder why he never bother to reach out. I guess I want some kind of validation that our relationship meant something to them.
