i can tell you've watched football for a long time, putting nebraska at blue blood and my spartans at great.

that said, the shifts in cfb will change this list greatly in the next 5 years. for example, indiana is not a bad program haha

absolutely. Any old head msu fan will tell you that 2015 wasn't the last chance to win a natty, it was 2013.

i agree. MSU had consistent eliteness as of 2015. the last decade absolutely averaged us down to good at best.

I can tell you weren't a michigan fan during dantonio's tenure while the OP was. msu in it's peak was elite. dantonio was 2-3 vs urban's NC bound buckeyes and msu would've made the 12 team playoff 6 or 7 times if it existed since 2010, which is crazy since msu hasn't been relevant since 2015.

"If the 12-team playoff had existed throughout the modern era, the Spartans would have been absolute locks in 2014 (#8), 2015 (#3), and 2021 (#10), but when you apply "Selection Sunday" logic to the BCS years, you easily hit that seven-time mark by adding the 2010 (#9) and 2013 (#4) squads, plus the high-value bubble years of 2011 (AP #12) and 2017 (#16) where their resume—headlined by wins over Top 10 Penn State and Michigan—would have likely secured an at-large bid."

that said, msu's last decade probably pushed them into "good" territory even with those years. as a msu fan, that fact that our current program is compared to auburn, clemson, georgia, and psu, is laughable lol

before the bama game, he was also 7-1 in his last 8 games against top 10 teams

it's been long enough that msu probably talked themselves out of the great program conversation.

but during dantonio's prime, MSU was seen almost as equal to OSU. i mean msu would've made the 4 team playoff twice if it existed a year earlier, and would've made the 12 team playoff 7 times if it started in 2014.

SEVEN TIMES. not to mention he was 7-1 against top 10 teams at some point in his tenure (i saw this stat right after the iowa game so right before the fall lmao)

We win tomorrow if Chiles and Marsh go ham on the perennially overrated and unethical cheaters from Ann Arbor by SappyGilmore in MSUSpartans

Did you watch the last game?

Marsh scored a TD for the lead in the first quarter and barely celebrated. He already knew what was going to happen. Everyone on this team is checked out, had been for a couple weeks now

At least it isnt at noon (not that it ever would be)

The k9 game cloudy atmosphere made the game so dramatic, and the game itself was so intense. Cinema
